fun fact we scored 10 points under our season avg without RJ, but gave up 13 less than our season avg. makes sense imo.

So Grady appears to play better against the worse teams, and, worse against the better teams. Not a positive trend. Perhaps it's time to open the trade portal.
The ball stuck with BI a lot tonight , however I'm not mad at it. If it starts happening more consistently I'll worry but this felt like a 'heat check' game. Sometimes when one of your stars comes out that hot you want to see how far he can go with it. There were some possessions in the 3rd and 4th where it was starting to get a bit excessive but sometimes when someone's feeling it and scoring like he was you gotta just roll with it. 2019 was team ball but there were plenty of 'kawhi games'. Bi is smart enough to see the success that this team has had playing team ball. I think this was just a 'I'm feeling it give me the rock' game. Come playoff time when the court shrinks and there's a bit more iso needed it's reassuring to see that we have a bucket getter who can have a game like this if absolutely needed. Imo it doesn't hurt to throw a couple of these games in the mix because there's going to be games where we'll need someone to just take over.

Basically take out the worst defender RJ and enter the best defender JaKobe, Mitchell enters 4th quarter with 11 points, finished with 17, if RJ played on Mitchell, he might of gone off for like 37, and it makes it so much tougher to win, nail bitter type game going OT…. why? make the game easy play best defenders…. so my wild takeaway I would trade RJ package with Obaji (no offense) Dick (no defense/lack of awareness) and see what you can get…

I feel like RJ's game translates well to the playoffs when the game gets more physical. He's just strong with the basketball and one of the few players on this team that can finish through contact and get to the line

Really hurt watching BI hijacking the offence there but unlike Fred he’s actually a cerebral scorer. Could be that it was a back to back but imma need Scottie to takeover and reset the team back to beautiful more egalitarian ball. Loves talkin about this in a Dub tho😂 Go Raps!
They may always be injured, but 3-0 versus the cavs is still a statement. Professional win. I was really hoping for BI to reach that 40 piece or Scottie to hit the triple double, but only so the media would be forced to take their Raptors’ medicine just that much more
Gotta hand it to you Rob, you believed we were capable of being quite goood. I was concerned about top end scoring in the half court without a mega star. This is unique team. Vibes are great sharing the ball – staying together I n D and w9rking hard. They run but if it's not there they set the half court offense which has been efficient. Scottie has been playing phenomenal – puts his fingerprint on everything. They are better than I expected – I was concerned about top end scoring but BI is fitting the bill. Fun to watch. Moving in a great direction – I'm not sure they can contend without a top 10 type player but hey the league is changing with the new cap rules. Really enjoying watching again.
Raptors are champions if they stop trying to save balls going out of bounds and throwing it to the other team
Don’t rlly mind BI poor shot selection tonight. When u have an offensive talent like that and he has it going, it’s not an issue for him to be taking tough shots. Generally this season I think his decision making has been solid
The process wasn’t perfect last night, but the end of a back to back against an even match is more about digging in and come out with a win than adhere to your process. The team adapted well and got better as the game went on, and when the Cavs made a run in the fourth we countered with professionalism and poise. Great win, as well as great learning opportunity. We can count on this group.
Am quite convinced a trade is going to happen soon. Obvious trade candidates are Oshai, Gradey and RJ plus their picks.
