I will never fully heal from what Nico Harris did to this organization (trading Luka for very little, to a team I could never root for), but now that he is gone, the healing can begin and I have finally been able to watch a couple of games.
Of course, seeing what Luka is doing in LA has been gut wrenching and while I have been impressed what 18 year old Cooper Flagg has done so far, I do not believe he will ever be on the same level as Luka (very few ever will, he truly was a generational talent).

Is it part of the NBA players contract that a player's current contract has to be accepted by a new team he might be traded to? This apparent required obedience to a player's existing contract makes trading a player like AD terrible situation. It is sad that the Mavericks are being punished for a contract that they inherited from the Lakers. AD is just not worth the money in his contract.

Having AD on your team is just straight depressing because you know even if everything goes right hes still going down at some point and the point at which he goes down could be the playoffs like AD's done many times before. Only reason Lakers won in the bubble was because the NBA got 4 months off before continuing games. Every other season that is normal AD goes down at some point and tanks his team.
