I will never understand as your lead goes from 10 to 8 to 6 in the last couple minutes you just keep firing up threes, because that's just how we do it. You're ok with losing as long as you do it your way.

Three pointers are great for building a lead, not salting a game away. You only need to match baskets at that point.
I didn't come up with that. I learned it from watching Jordan and Bird. Layups and free throws. Very high percentage. Basic math.
No different than going 9 for 41 and losing by four points.

Now if I presented this at one of these media scrums, I would be talked down to and quickly dismissed. I would be seen as an adversary and a jerk. But make no mistake, I have been bleeding green for four decades. I learned the game of basketball by watching some of the greatest players of all time in countless big games.
No one is happier than I am when the Boston Celtics win.
No one.
I will have to adjust to the fact that we are going to lose games in the future because we have to play this one way all the time no matter the situation. We are not capable of making the slightest of adjustments because we're too GD stubborn and too thin skinned to accept the slightest bit of constructive criticism.
So my apologies.
No more criticism.
No more suggestions.
No more trying to help my favorite team because I couldn't possibly have anything of value to say.
I suggest the same to all of you, lest you become the mortal enemy to the people that run your favorite team for having an opinion or asking the wrong question.
Learn to accept losing because it's not important to just win, it's important how you win. To win in the style that the person in charge wants you to win.
