NO JUICE: Cleveland Cavaliers CRUMBLE Against Toronto Raptors | Need MORE From Evan Mobley?

On Tuesday’s edition of Locked On Cavs, Danny Cunningham talks about the Cleveland Cavaliers loss to the Toronto Raptors on Monday night in which head coach Kenny Atkinson said the team had “no juice” at the end of a tough spot in the schedule. Danny also talked about Evan Mobley only taking seven shots in the game and the need to be more aggressive on a night when the team is extremely shorthanded. He also dives into encouraging performances by role players such as Nae’Qwan Tomlin before discussing how beneficial the upcoming rest will be for the team.

  1. Please tell me that the people that have access to Mobley are telling him he is a heartless loser and @ bust. Please tell him to his face.

  2. Danny thanks for always staying positive and consistent with the pod throughout all the wins and the losses. Happy thanksgiving to you and everyone else in the wine and gold!

  3. Lonzo and Tyrese have been horrific from the field this year! Sorry….both are 30% from the field and 28 % from 3! Lonzo was brought here to run the offense and push the ball…NOT jack and miss a TON of 3's…Tyrese hasn't been shy either…thoise shooting stats are UNACCEPTABLE! DM was 2 for 18 from 3 last year in games 1 and 2 at HOME against INDY….and NOBODY talks about that! We are financially strangles, thanks to Koby, in that 2nd apron! Ouir small 1/2 BILLION $$$$$$$ backcourt wants more $$$$. DG is eligible right now for an extension. Rich Paul wants to get RICHER!!! DM's next contract would pay him nearly 1 MILL per game! MOBLEY!!!!!!!!!! needs to get his but ijn the paint and live there…be more decisive! and also become a REAL free throw shooting threat! He's not that either!

  4. How can you use energy excuse when Mitchell didn't do anything till the 4th quarter.

The role players did there job, kept the team in the game & Mitchell & Mobley didnt do enough.

Claiming tiredness this early in the season is crazy.

Mitchell is used to playing more minutes, averaging 34 mins this season.

Mitchell used to a heavy offensive load or playing on a back to back or playing so often.

Mitchell played 33 & 34 mins the last 2 games, got enough rest and hasn't had to even take 25 shots in any of the last 7 games.

For comparison Brandon Ingram whose injury prone played over 37 & 36 mins last 2 games and took 30 shots v Cavs.

Raptors had exact same schedule as Cavs the last 6 games.

Also Donovan Mitchell literally got rested along with Evan Mobley vs Heat and so were fresh before the Raptors game.

Cavs had Mitchell, Hunter, Mobley, Allen and had available Dean Wade, Sam Merill and Craig Porter jr.

Cavs still got outplayed & dominated.

But sure Donovan Mitchell & Evan Mobley were tired.

Tyrese Maxey is averaging over 40 mins per game with a crazy workload with no Embiid + Paul George.

Maxey is playing with no All-stars just a rookie and role players.

Maxey is a carrying a team that was a lottery team last season.

Cavs were a 60+ win team last season and have healthy Donovan Mitchell whose an MVP calibre player and Evan Mobley who was All-Star, All-NBA and Defensive player of the year last season.
Mitchell last season got alot of rest with how strong Cavs depth & bench.

  5. We can’t use the “Donavan has been great all year let’s excuse this one” yes it’s true, he’s having statistically so far his best season and I’m super proud of him. This is however his third or fourth game where the team needs him to step up and do a whole lot more. I’m all for the nuances, he’s maybe fatigued, the team is so horribly injured. However as the superstar who’s getting paid huge sums of bread, this is his job. This is what he’s paid to do, this is why he’s here. This could’ve been a statement win, a statement to the league that “Hell yea we are here just you wait for us to get healthy, I earned that player of the week”

  6. People have to be honest about even Mobley skillset man. Way too many excuses he not sum elite post scorer not strong enough. He is an average shooter. Didn’t have consistent motor for hustle points. Look at Duren

  7. You guys are fools. Raptors also played back to back. Keep it 100%. Raptors are better this year damn. Also, the excuse of playing more games is trash. They've played 19 and Raptors 18. Yet, Raptors sweep the series 3-0. Sites like these should be blocked.

  8. Isn't it funny how each and every time the raptors played and beat the cavs, this guy and in general, the cavs media came loaded with excuses? Do you think other teams aren't dealing with injuries, grueling road trips, and stretches of playing a lot of basketball? They are playing a sport. When you say back to back or 3 games in 4 nights or whatever coping mechanism you conjure up, you lean on it so hard as though these guys were mining coal for 12 hours the day before. They played basketball for a couple of hours. Every single team in the league can go back and find games where they were short-handed and lost. They can go and find games short-handed where they win. Winning or losing when key contributors are out with injury is when a team's depth is put to the test. It's not luck. It's not bad scheduling. The cavs evidently did not have the depth to beat the raptors 3 games in a row. Is the excuse for when the cavs get eliminated in the playoffs gonna be, "They played a full season of basketball, they had no gas." Because the season doesn't get any easier from here. If your players are tired now, they are going to be exhausted and broken come playoff time.

  9. I also noticed that De'Andre Hunter did not play in last night's game because Kenny Atkinson sat him out for rest. The Cavaliers were fined for sitting Mobley and Mitchell out for rest in that game against Miami on November 12, and they chose to sit Hunter out for rest in last night's game as well? Chaos.

  10. No excuses regarding no juice. Toronto was on a back to back as well. In fact, Raps were playing their 3rd games in 4 nights. Yes Cavs were short-handed but that’s the NBA. Toronto was missing Barrett but pretty much had everyone else.

  11. The cavaliers have no excuse for there poor performance against the raptors they can beat teams below 500 but cant beat teams over 500 to their new coach get it together or you will never win a championship

  12. This guy is full of shit and excuses.Give credit where credit to the raptors there a great team clown smh

  13. This guy's mouth are full of excuses. 99% of the time all he says are excuses. HE can't be honest to admit that the Raptors are better than the CAVS this year. It takes courage to be honest. It's cowardice to be hiding under the pretense of excuses.
