They also haven't had a back-to-back yet and will only have 10 over the entire season (Warriors will play 50% more backtbk for instance) and a fairly light schedule.
That's also 3 reasons to be quite bullish on them.
Will Houston be able to keep their best guys in 3 years? The second apron will have GMs pulling Steve Ballmer moves more often than not soon.
Injuries are what can stop the Rockets. Much like any other team but for example Nuggets are suffering way less injuries. I fail to imagine a post season where the Rockets are as healthy as they were last year. So they just need more depth. Maybe they can get off of Fred after mid December.
Just wait until Houston adds Derrick White. ππ
Just subscribed. The most comprehensive and intelligent in terms of pure objective analysis of a run down of the question of who are the Houston Rockets that we've been seeing.
I agree with all points and I can see this Sengun evolution happening because it almost feels like every game he's getting better and showing a different shade to his game, ironically thats exactly how he started the season against okc. He shot 22% from three last season and 1st game vs Okc He shot 62% 5/8 from downtown. Sengun has gotten better every year dramatically in some facet of his game.
These Rockets are special and I wouldn't be surprised if Ime Udoka has been playing a little bit possum a little 5D chess keeping his cards close.
These guys are extremely bought into every single thing they are doing and really look like a tightly knitted group just 14 games into the season which is mind blowing considering they added 3 new players two of which are getting alot of playing time but look like they played together for years.
The transition has been seamless and I believe that's a testament to how well engineered these guys are from a building rebuilding perspective as well as coaching.
Reed Sheppard maybe not just a "good player" too. Reed Sheppard maybe a transient Prodigy who can score in a variety of ways gutting through defenses like a true problem at point. A true dual scoring threat in terms of PG play which just makes this team even harder to deal with if they get that kind of accuracy from the one.
Call me crazy or over zealous but if these trends continue and these players with these high ceilings continue to grow and develop more then we may well be possibly staring a all time dynastic team in the face. It's not just that they are highly competitive, it's how they are built to compete is whats standing out to me. The lack of egos and the maturity of the whole roster is really something.
Subbed! Thank you for coming around on my rockets
This in-depth analysis along with watching the βawful coachingβ YouTube channel has actually changed the way that I watch basketball.
Really fucking smart analysis. You have a new fan.
nba mailbag – who between Trey Murphy or Herb Jones fits what the warriors need? Is it the third scoring option in Trey Murphy or the lockdown POA defender in Herb Jones that will elevate the Warriors into contender status?
i really would like to see KD get a finals MVP without golden state that would b a good ππ» for KD haters
im not sure about getting the title but its really really fun to watch rockets right now
Thanks for the content! Enjoyed it.
Alpi is a faster Joker.
Alphi has that low key left to right cross over already that he does only on bigs because he knows they are slow π
So he reaches in that bag for a Turkish snack π
His bag deep FR πͺπΏπ€πΏπ€πΏπ
Subbed You are one of the few guys who can articulate his thoughts clearly without pausing every 5 seconds. I agree with your take on Rockets and ALPI
my savior has released audio content for my drive home tonight after my 12 hour overnight , my goat
I truly believe and see everything you mentioned. That's true. Houston has the best squad after Hakeem Olajuwan's team.
I think Sengun added hook shot this season. He's already doing it with early success close to the basket. So now, in addition to floaters, Sengun has a hook shot.
Rockets have not yet beaten any top team. They lost to Pistons and Thunder. We'll see Nuggets tomorrow.
I wonder if can you suggest pgs that the rockets should trade for before the deadline to make them absoulte contenders
Got to give IME credit, this team is his personality and he's an alpha A+ guy. Love everything he brings to this team. The players are awesome but we see how coaching matters and he's at the top.
His 4th season, not 5th
Finally, I mean its been pretty obvious the Rockets are the in the conversation since game 1
The Brooklyn nets n Phoenix suns thought they had a ring to.
The Rockets are the best and they are gonna stay there. People Opinions donβt matter to the Rockets simple. If you doubted them stay on that side of the table!
Having watched this team over the years, I'm a huge believer in the ceilings of Sengun, Amen, Reed and Jabari.
Sengun is on his way to being in the top ten conversation. Amen and Reed can easily be in the top 20. I even think Jabari will be a top 25 guy, but maybe underrated due to his teammates.
Stoked for tonights game against Denver.
Why do I feel like I'm the only 1 who see that yes Durant and Shengun are great don't get me wrong but I see a Dynasty when Durant retires with Jabari, Amen, Eason, Shepherd, Shengun this is a team that's going to reach legendary status and as their Chemistry grows……Marian look out because these guys are legends in the making together!
