The NBA Was Wrong About The Raptors

Not even a play in team they said…

  1. you have to actually … you know… watch the games. once you do that it is dead obvious Barnes is the best player on the team.

  2. I’ve been saying since they got Ingram before the season started before he played a game, he would make a huge difference

  3. Also have been saying Scottie HAS BEEN better than Mobley people can’t seem to accept that for some reason Mobley is a slightly better defender but that’s literally it

  4. mamu definitely caught me by surprise. i never knew he was gonna be this good but the moment they need a safety net MAMU is there, he can shoot! he can defend.. this is team is nice and it reminds me of the 2019 raptors. just a lot younger

  5. This rapture team hungry
Like 2019 or the gilmore 93 leafs or the 92 and 93 Jay's
    Hungry yo

  6. I think ppl were worrying with Raptors overpaying for mediocrity. The concern was they might end up like Kings. And it is a surprise, this team finally geled so well together. Also the core is just entering their prime, even BI is just 28yo.
    also: stop it

  7. The algorithm is hilarious cause y’all are only talking about the raps cause bigger YouTubers are at this point

  8. Great video, thanks for putting the work into such a thorough analysis. Love to see the Raptors succeeding building as a team rather than focusing on one player only.

  9. Raptor fans are used to the US media underestimating and ignoring us. We are currently the 4th largest city in all of North America and equal or more southerly than 27 states in the US (check the map!), but most american sports media treats us like an insignificant small town situated at the North Pole. They even ignored our championship win, even suggesting we got lucky–even though we had been in 1st place for most of the last couple of years before then. They are lazy, and only want to talk about the Lakers, Celtics, Knicks, or any team that has an old superstar they've already heard of. Did I mention Toronto had one of the original teams that founded the NBA–the Huskies. But of course, they treat us like we don't belong in the basketball world (A game a Canadian invented). Yeah, we're used to it…

  10. I don't blame most american sources for thinking the raps might not be good this year. last 2 seasons where the worst in a long time.
This year Scottie has been playing exactly how i wished he would and all the other pieces fit soooo nice. It's amazing! whole team is hoopin!

  11. Really feels like a complete team has been reassembled through the classic massai playbook of draft, develop, FA and trade. Full roster depth plus a great coach who get the whole team to play together and put in work.

  12. Scottie can legit guard/play all 5 positions on both sides of the floor. Coming into the league, he was drawing comparisons to Magic and we're now seeing those comparisons coming to fruition.

  13. the fact that detroit is 1st is epic, given they were dead last last yr around this time

  14. when skip bayless talked scottie barnes i thought, ok right but that team is no longer the chip team sad for barnes. then knicks give em rj and i was pissed that another player i liked was parked there with no future the next years. then ingram came and i thought this will be interesting, but not so fast. now they have mamu and some other good players and things get interesting. some teams have a good star couple, some even the luck of triple like mj bulls. but raptors now even have an almost quadruple bunch plus excellent role players. thats like 90s bulls with d robinson. almost. ^^

  15. Last year, the starters were often, either injured or sitting. The rookie & bench guys played and picked up a lot of experience. After the allstar break, the rookie & bench were playing so well that the team became a pretty good defensive team and then they were winning games, when they should have been losing games, to get a higher draft pick. Signing Ingram & Mamu, plus drafting CMB is helping the team.

  16. Those early scottie kawhi comps don't seem so crazy now. He'll probably never hit peak kawhi, but he's this good at only 24 and getting better every season. If scottie can become like 95% of kawhi in his prime…its game over for the east.

  17. NBA expects only know how to predict the status quo, they did the same crap in 2019. I can predict yesterday's weather too. Scottie for sure is our best player, he's leaps and bounds improved this year, 40%+ shooting from 3 and playing all-defensive level defense AND letting his teammates eat, we can't ask for a better player (well maybe Cade Cunningham)

  18. Scottie is insane, Mamu off the bench has to biggest surprise he impacts game constantly

Exciting to see defense back in the nba

  19. As a Raptors fan, I'm used to the disrespect the American sports outlets give the Raptors, whether FOX or others. This team is giving 2019 vibes if they keep this up and BI3 can stay healthy. OKC and DEN will be really tough but anything can happen.

  20. Rj Barrett is tied for 38th for most fg , if he can be a top 20-25 fg witch he totally can achieve , this raptor team is a fun team to watch they’re among one of the fastest team in the nba , plays hard defense and with the best bench in the league at the moment . Hope they can stay healthy . They are 1 player away from a championship team

  21. i predicted a top 4 finish when the season ended last year for this team coming into this season. It's actually a pretty easy prediction to make – East is banged up, Toronto has a lot of talent and had a solid Defense in the 2nd half of last year and that was before BI even stepped onto the court. The only complaint I heard from anyone about the Raptors was "how are the pieces going to fit" and not "my goodness do they have scrub players". This is basically a rebuild of the Raptors pre-2019 with a deep bench and starting 5. Unlike the pre-2019 teams, they dont have to deal with a prime Lebron and have a player that is better than DeMar – so why wouldnt they be top 4? In fact, you could argue that if they dont make top 4 with their salary, then everyone should be worried.

  22. So many of the predictions didn’t take into account the fact that Ingram didn’t play at all with Toronto last season. Which was crazy to me???

  23. Not having them top 8 was questionable. Not having them top 10 was gross dereliction of duty. They won 30 last year while actively tanking, playing dozens of games without their top players and with BI not playing a single game. Most in Toronto knew they'd win AT LEAST 10 more games this year, putting them in the top 6 convo.

  24. Its probably because the AMERICAN "experts" don't know where Canada is let alone Toronto aside from when Kawhi played there. Sports, Guns, Jesus >>>>>>> Education and geography in the USA
