  1. this team is trash, and Toumani has turned into a horrible player. Not even Deni's near 40-piece was enough to beat SAS without WEMBY and Castle… PATHETIC

  2. the team is not well trained. the defense is lacking, they became soft, they're not getting stops, they can only pray for a miss. they are also shooting way too many 3's. why the heck is Toumani taking 11 3's??? even if you're a good shooter that's a lot, but he's a bad shooter and never will be a good one. anyone with an eye for basketball can see it from his terrible shooting form to to general movement. there is a place for players who are not 3 point shooters. draymond green spent a whole career barley shooting 3's and that's ok. Toumani taking a 3pt shot should be a special event, not the number one option! it's the general laziness of this league, bombing from 3 instead of working inside. Deni's brilliant playmaking is wasted on them. I got to say Deni looks like a highest level point guard. in a better shooting team he would have double the assists. SA's 3's were not even open as the blazers, imagine if they had a player like Deni setting them on open shots like he does to his team. they look aimless. they can only count on a great shooting night for a win, and it shouldnt be this way.

  3. We have reached a point where we need to rethink the team. The number of injuries is constantly increasing. The shooting ability wasn't high to begin with, but the injuries have turned us from a great defensive team into a defensive scumbag. We need to bring in a player or two with shooting ability like Corey Kispert and others who warm up benches in the league.

  4. It's worth talking about the coach, who in my opinion doesn't do a good job. I really miss movement without the ball. I miss double blocks and it discourages me to see a game of three-pointers and isolations. Ultimately, there is no stability in the attack and the elevation of one player or another hides a lack of method in the attack.

  5. It's disappointing they lost despite Deni's heroic struggle.

We can talk about bad shooting nights and injuries all season, but in the end of the day, they had a superstar on their team and still lost.

  6. Giving up more field goals than the other team is becoming a thing. In this game they gave them 14 more shots. 12 steals is super sloppy ball play. And losing 20-12 on the offensive glass shows tired feet. Other than Deni the starters shoot 2-19 from 3. The bench went 2-9. You CAN'T win shooting that poorly from 3. The Spurs weren't a whole lot better but took 3 less shots and made 2 more. Go Blazers.

  7. I'm starting to get a pit in my stomach whenever I see Sharpe with the ball.
I just don't trust him to handle the rock without getting it picked anymore.

  8. Dani missed more free throws towards the end of the game because of exhaustion. He worked so hard playing with next to no help from his teammates against a very good team.

  9. Thank you Mike for great analysis.

Tough shooting night and boy did they miss guard play tonight!

Deni is getting to a level I don't think any of us saw he had.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

  10. "For threeeee !!" jumpers were hitting the rim. There was only 1 airball. That's a big sign of improvement over the previous 4 seasons of Portland's long term rebuilding for better days Cronin Billups basketball.

  11. Deni is a superstar in the making. Every other player on the team is average AT BEST. We can all see where this is all going. Deni is becoming the new Dame—"gimme the ball and go to hell". That means nothing more than a mediocre team AT BEST for the long term. This team is a poor passing team, poor at moving without the ball, and worst of all in today's NBA, is a poor shooting team. I see nothing but mediocrity at best in the future.

  12. Why Deni took only 19 shots in a game when nobody can buy a bucket to save his life? Deni teds to be too nice in nights like this when he can score even more.

  13. This team needs much better talent on it to contend with the powerhouse teams in the future. Most of the players on this roster aren't nearly talented enough to make this team a winning team in the future.

  14. Hey Mike, big fan from Brazil here. Yesterday I had the opportunity to fulfill a dream by watching the Blazers at Moda. Deni is an All-NBA player and being near Dame made me emotional. Let's Go Blazers and let's go Tiagoooo

  15. Just waiting for the Injured players to return for the 10-12 minuets of playing Jrue, Tisse, Camara, Grant and Deni so there will be chaos on the floor

  16. Deni should have finished the game with like 15 assists; Only Camara owes him 5. The Blazers' shooting is so poor it's so sad 🙁

  17. Toumani has just been BAAAAAD this season. Bad at lockdown defense, and bad at 3 point shooting. Literally, the opposite of a 3 and D guy. A complete letdown so far. I know we just extended him, but if he doesn't improve, we need to find a way to trade him. We let Ayton go for less (nothing).

  18. Hey Mike
We do have a long way till we get to that point – but I’ll ask anyways

What do you think will happen when dame is back?
Who’s going to be the first option? Will dame “let” Deni lead the offense? Or dame gonna do it all?

  19. There is an ongoing issue with Deni and it needs to be corrected. When he doesn't get the foul call he stands there looking at the ref instead of hustling back down court to defend. He leaves his team vulnerable. I watched him get back late at least 3 times when the Spurs scored.

  20. The Blazers are not ready yet to compete with the Thunder Rockets Nuggets Wolves Lakers or the Spurs for a playoff spot in Western Conference…I think with the Blazers a minus 10 at the All Star Break Deni Advija will not be selected to be an All Star…I personally like a Dame CJ duo better than an Advija leader of this team…I dont think Advija will get on Dame s level he is not talented as Dame is,,,With Dame as a point guard this team is a lot better than it is right now!

  21. When I told you those practice games are for the soft players, they aren’t for Deni …he will be ready for the real time I knew why I’m writing that! Camara and sharp can’t shoot 3s Deni could finish last games with 15 assists if they could just put the f ball in the basket
