What's frustrating is that there's a good player in there somewhere. We've seen him show up from time to time. His opportunity will come, if there ever was a team that brings out the best in their players it's Miami.

Jovic's contract is another bad contract. Like Duncan, James Johnson, Tyler Johnson, etc This contract will keep the Heat from making any moves unless they can unload it. Gary Trent Jr. is a 26 year old guard that can shoot the 3 and is way more consistent than Jovic and Trent makes 3.7 mil a year. That tells me that Jovic's market value is probably the veteran minimum. This contract extension will keep the Heat from extending Larsson, and possibly Keshad Johnson (who are both way better than Jovic).
Riley has to learn that when you pay a guy 15 mil a year and underperforms, you set the floor, which means that JJJ, Larsson, and Keshad, (who are all having better seasons and are more consistent) will expect larger deals. Like Caleb Martin did. Riley never learns. Jovic worth is a veteran minimum at best. I think he's not an NBA player at all.
So he average 10 points last year and that was enough to say 64 million 😂😂 damn I don't understand this front office and now he is regressing

i love niko but i don’t feel bad for his benching he’s been playing too sloppy, but hopefully he uses this as motivation to play more discipline and be the player we all know he could be
