    Kawhi is definitely the best comparison for Cooper.

    In my opinion, if the Mavericks still want to attempt to win games, then Cooper and AD needs to play similar to AD & LeBron 2 man action (I know AD needs to get healthy, don't cry about that to me).
    And they can only achieve that if Cooper takes over as the face of the team because when he has more reps and confidence, he'll gain more scoring gravity and that'll leave AD to more 1 on 1 situations or have easy dump offs and finishes from Cooper because he does have the playmaking chops to do so like LeBron.

    I'm not against them tanking for a high draft pick, but I seriously think this can still work. And I'm not delusional, I know injuries is what making this theory a pipe dream, but it can genuinely still work.

    The Kawhi/Cooper comparison is cool and all, but consider this:

    Cooper just came off an 11 assist game the previous night.

    Kawhi has never had an 11 assist game in his entire career.

    wait, if you actually think about it, you cant compare cooper's rookie year to luka's. luka was a full and a half 19 year old when he played his first game as a mav. cooper is gonna be that NEXT year. lets compare cooper's year next year to luka's rookie year if we wanna do all that. cuz honestly you CAN do that, because luka has had a head start playing professionaly to begin with. i still love luka though, dont get me wrong. i beleive in coop.
