  1. If the thunder win 70 games shai will definitely win it, deservedly or not. Otherwise it definitely should be jokic if he keeps this up

  2. Isn't Duncan Robison occupying the potential spot MPJ would fill? I.e standing in the corner and taking 3s

  3. Ok, I love the podcast but either you're trolling us, or you're being lazy like ESPN: just because Anthony Davis is from Chicago doesn't mean A. That he wants to go to Chicago or B. That Bulls fans want him in Chicago (mostly, no.) Having the DeLorean from B2TF might seem cool until you realize that you can't drive it anywhere and requires more maintenance than it's worth. I'd rather have a Toyota Corolla or something (Vooch?).

  4. Legler had nothing good to say about the raptors before the season and had nothing good to say about them here. No credit to the Raptors actual play. Only thing he said was it depends on what the other teams will do and if they are injured or not. Admit you were wrong Tim.

  5. Got to disagree with Legs here on the importance of The Cup issue.

Because the Cup game is for money, and it isn't in the archive of the NBA season; and it's a one-off: which inevitably brings out the competitor. I do think that these games matter a lot to these guys. And in the future because of that, it will shine a light on who the players is inside; who the player really is. It will be another measuring stick.

    You're welcome Legs!! Credit me.

  6. You guys do realize all the players you’re talking about having to fit into new roles when Jalen comes back have already been on the team? Have a rotation that’s been established. I highly doubt that Mark makes any drastic changes to that just because some guys came back and are hoopin. He expects all those guys to play that way

  7. The thing about OKC is that they can play games that last 60 minutes, without struggle of a single player

Never have I imagined that there would be such a thing

They can create 3 lineups and rotate them if they like, and not fall behind in result

    That's just crazy tbh

  8. Rockets can't trade Fred VanVleet due to a de facto no trade clause from the extension. He'd have to waive it, and I'm not sure how you get him to waive it

  9. In a series you have to hope OKC has 4 games where they miss open shots. Because if they shoot league average it will be almost impossible to be then if they are healthy 4 games. Why? Because they defense is so good. They wear you out. OKC makes you take the shots they want you to take. It's hard to beat someone 4 times taking shot you do want to take. Healthy OKC is going to be a tough out.

  10. The Cup is a joke. Getting there is whether cup night has you playing trash that night. Then the Cup game. 1 game. Any NBA team can win 1 game on a given night. Winning a Cup doesn't even mean you are good. You just got to play trash to get there and that 1 game you were hot. If you played that same team in a 7 games series, you get blown out in 4 of the games losing the series 4-1. I'll say it again the only people not laughing at the Cup it the those in charge of the NBA and Talking Heads who try and make it a big deal and it's not. Look at Cup games you think it's just random luck when the big market teams on Cup night just happen to be playing trash. Cup nights are totally random:) Doesn't mean those trash advance but the NBA sure is trying to get them there.

  11. You take Young. Even though you'll never win anything with him. He plays and he's exciting. A new game like a Seattle it would help put butts in the seats. Ball never plays. Ja never plays. All three so far in their careers look like losers. So, you take the loser for at least plays.

  12. No one want's AD's contract at his age and injury history. The Bulls would be insane trying for him., Giving up assets for a player they will still win you nothing. the Bulls are not 1 player away. Are the Lakers, Wolves, GS to name three 1 player away from being a contender if healthy sure. But not the Bulls. 50+ a year for AD to sit in street clothes 35+ games a year. Not thanks. And only 35 could be too small he could miss more. 60+ at age 36. God no.

  13. I hate that it's November and we're already talking about tanking. I hate tanking so much. There's 60 games left, teams! Surely you can attempt to get in the top 10 of each conference. I'd love to have a way to award the teams that try to get into the Play-Ins over blatant tanking.

  14. I have to disagree with Legs saying that winning the NBA Cup doesn't help anyone on the Thunder. I think that if they end up having a historical season, it will actually help put them over the top for one of, if not the best season of all-time if they can win it.They could technically be the first team in NBA history to win the Cup AND the NBA Finals. Throw in 70ish wins and you've got a real chance to be the greatest individual team. & Think about all the awards a guy like Shai can win in one season if he adds the All Cup Tournament Team and Cup MVP. We need to start recognizing being on the Cup Team as accolades when we mention a players resume. Nowadays I do also believe it means more than being named an All-Star. The All-Star game is mainly a popularity contest for a game that no one cares about anymore.

  15. After missing some episodes out of busyness, I'm so happy to be back and witness your expertise and good vibes which always nurture my basketball self. Thank you! Great show 🙏🏀

  16. With how big Legs has been on Luka I'm surprised at the no mention of the Lakers among the best teams in the league.

OKC, Denver to me are clearly above them. Houston and the Lakers I got on the same tier, although they are a bad match up for LA. They got the second best record on the western conference.

    Great episode though!
