I just wished this team would make these set plays with picks off ball and rotating to the better option. I also liked when they had Clark, McDaniel on the floor together. Dilly didn't score, but he still needs time on the floor. Conley was good tonight in the second half.
RANDLE needs to recognize the double or triple teams sooner and get off the ball immediately….. He's been acting like KAT lately and dribbling into trouble and turnovers.
I've been a big critic of Finch but this was one of his better coached games. The Spurs made it a 9 point game around 4-5 mins with some momentum, and I swear Finch was ready to sub Rudy back in and disrupt the flow of the offense. He called some odd times timeouts to reset the team. And He will sometimes stubbornly stick with Rudy and the "starters" to close games, but he did the right thing giving Naz extended minutes.
I was there with good seats. My only gripe is they relied on the 3 too much in the fourth. They broke down the defense and had a foul/layup and kicked for corner 3. I'd love them to insure the points/momentum/control by finishing the hard way. It's better suited for the toughness/efficiency needed in the playoffs. Randle is a stud btw
it was very interesting to see how game changed when Ant came back from bench in the 4th quarter 😀 suddenly it all became iso or semi iso, the flow suddenly dissapeared and he made 2-3 mistakes, without Ant in 4th quarter basketball was beatiful to watch. very interesting observation. Not saying Ant sucks but he could sometimes let go off of his ego.
Curious your thoughts, I feel like our defense looks like a lot of what you broke down here, but there's often teams and players that are just hitting those tough shots. If they were making some of those floaters/contested shots, would they defense still be considered as good?
Its crazy how good Naz has become as a defender in non gobert minutes since he provides so much more than him on both sides of the floor instead of just a rim protector 🐐

I was watching Rudy on the bench during the 4th and he didn’t look too happy. It was like he was realizing his future role becoming less and less

wow, when you play simple basketball and swing it around, use screens, make shots and don't turn it over constantly…the game looks easy

Had some great ball movement in this game compared to the last 3 losses they just suffered
