These undersized players can be such a steal because people discount them just on their lack of height. If Ryan was 6 foot 2 he's going in the first round 100%. But instead he's 5'11" and goes completely undrafted. Lowkey such a gem and we knew that since he popped off in preseason. He was injured/sick for a while so we didn't see him. But in the starting lineup he's been amazing so far.
We basicallly got another Jalen Brunson, except Ryan was not drafted. The kid can be an allstar. Need to sign him to a 4 year deal and not let him hit FA.
This is what Dallas has needed all year to pair with Coop, an actual PG. Imagine when they get KY back. A fully healthy Dallas squad is top 6 in the NBA. Their defense has been top 5. They have had 18 clutch games. Just hadn't been able to close em out, as they were missing AD and KY. However, it let the other guys, especially Coop, develop. The team is a matchup nightmare for any team in the league. It will all come down to if they can stay healthy. Mainly Davis and the 2 bigs.
to clarify, nemby was out with a knee sprain for a few weeks & due to the nature of his 2-way contract i think he's only allowed to be active in 50 games. we obviously just got news exum is out for the season, so hopefully we can get some exception to waive exum & make room for a standard contract for him
Great analysis. I think he is more PG than Brunson, specifically meaning floor general. Brunson is more of a deadly ISO scorer that really can’t be guarded. He does have a great feel for the game. I can see him being a Smaller Deron Williams but better on defense
