WHAT Are The Spurs NOT TELLING US!?

Is something seriously wrong with Wemby? The Spurs are not giving us straight answers. In this video, I’ll break down the latest updates on his injury and the strange silence coming from the San Antonio Spurs.
Is this just a minor setback… or something much bigger?

  1. I do not like this latet report, how accurate do you think it is Spurs fans? Thanks for watching and GO SPURS GO!

  2. Comparing Wemby to Harper might be irrelevant. I mean, he's an anomaly as you said. Regular analysis don't work here I guess. I think they're overprotecting him (at least I hope so). He's still very young and maybe need to reinforce his build to live through what actual NBA requires. In France, I've heard he should be back on December 10th. Which makes sense to me to fight against the Lakers.

  3. Rich, I really think that you are overreacting on Wemby.
A grade1 calf injury is between 2 and 4 weeks. Let's take 3 weeks… this would mean a comeback around the 5th of december. But the 6th of december, there is a game at Cleveland, which is not the best place to be back (a duel against Mobley).
In conclusion, if I would take the decision for the Spurs' management, I would choose the Pels for Victor to come back.

But this comeback date depends also on the Spurs' target for the NBA Cup. If the Spurs want to put some efforts to win it, Wemby will be back against the Pels (to be ready against the Lakers).
If the NBA Cup is not the objective but a direct playoff qualification is definitely the main Spurs' objective, what is the point to make Victor taking any risks during this competition.
His comeback could then be pushed back to the 18th of december against the Wizards (two additional weeks to rest and train).

Btw there is a particular rule of the NBA Cup : the quarter-final and the semi-final are counting as regular season games. Instead of three games this season initially, the Spurs will play four times against the Lakers and if the Spurs win and play against OKC in semi-final, they will play in total 5 times against OKC this season.
If someone could explain me which games will be retrieved from the Spurs' schedule to match the final total of 82 games (I didn't find the information in the NBA Cup rules), it could be interesting to understand if the Spurs have an interest or not to make efforts to win this NBA Cup (what would be the point to add a fifth game against OKC to finally retrieve a game against the Jazz for example… ? Surely a loss versus a win !).

There is also the possibility that Wemby would miss the Lakers' game but would be back against OKC in case of a win against the Lakers because suddenly the NBA Cup win could become a target.

PS : We should take into account that the last two winners of the NBA Cup have not performed well in post-season !!! Spending energy and potentially one or more important players trying to win the NBA Cup would be very counter-productive…
I am not really sure that the Spurs' management will put tons of efforts to win the NBA Cup…

  4. Guys I was scared to say this but the spurs organization is probably masking his blood clots for a calf strain…. Prove me wrong but you do not need to be out this long.. to heal from an injury like this… I saw another creator say this and he could be out for season 🫠

  5. Honestly, this is the best thing long-term allowing the other guys to develop and run the show. We gotta be able to play consistent basketball in. Victor is not on the court, especially in the playoffs.

  6. Wemby can still improve his game while he is out injured. NBA players, like Wemby, can learn a lot by watching film and training while injured, as it's a valuable opportunity to improve their basketball IQ and refine their skills. Analyzing game footage allows them to study opponents, understand plays, and identify personal weaknesses, and refine their game, while focused training can help with injury prevention in the future. Meanwhile, his teammates have been keeping the team in good position to still accomplish their goals for this season.

  7. I don’t see a issue. We all know he has an ankle sprain . He needs to not play so it dosent get worse and become a torn akilis. I expect him not to play at least for 2/3 weeks. Your ankle has a sprain& and it basically your body has to forget about it thats why he needs to not play. On top of that he is a very large man and thats double the possibility of a tear. Wow over a month sorry I write this before I heard this from you . He just needs to rest that chasing down Steph, getting tripped & draymond took a toll on him

  8. the one thing i've always hated about the Spurs is they operate like some Mafia crime family with their secrecy. Just tell us wtf is up with Wemby and Castle

  9. Personally I feel like the Spurs are showing a few things.
    1. They aren't going to let a tournament that means absolutely nothing get in the way of Wemby's health and safety. They kind of are giving the NBA the bird and telling them too bad.
    2. They know Wemby is going to be the highest paid player in NBA history. That's also why they pushed to get the new stadium approved. They want Wemby in their new stadium with a giant long term contract. They are (and the rest of the NBA) are terrified of Wemby making a new super-team in LA. They will assure him that the Spurs organization has his best interests at heart.

  10. Was he injured from that chop block from thar Goldebstate guy. If so they should take out curry, GS has injured SA player before on purpose

  11. This era is soft and weak. Better doctors, technology, medical advancements, load managing, air travel, nutrition, less back to backs, soft rules… and yet they can't play anywhere near a full season. Either because of injury, fatigue, or load management.

  12. This is good for the team. If he goes down in the playoffs then they dont have to learn on the fly they can just look back at the tape and know how to deal with it.

Remember fellow Spurs fans the front office plays chess not checkers. The season is a marathon and remember what happened to Kawhi before he quit they definitely dont want to repeat the same mistake.

  13. If you're a new Spurs fan you'll come to learn that this organization doesn't say anything until the last minute. They are the worst with letting people know about anything. They look at the media as adversaries

  14. …he doesn't know his guess is just as good as ours…spurs haven't said anything about castle or wemby and they didn't say anything about when Harper was coming back…Friday will be wembys 10th game missed and on the 7th will be his 3rd week missed…I think he'll come back for the pelicans game on the 8th…and castle will come back for the Lakers game…by then both would have missed 10 games and three weeks like Dylan Harper did…they should be back by this weekend…after all Mitch Johnson said they're practicing already…he said the same a week before Harper came back

  15. There was no reason to put Wemby on a minutes restriction his rookie year, no reason to shut him down for the entire season after a freak situation with a blood clot last year, and no reason to miss a whole month just for a minor calf strain this year. Spurs are babying him.

  16. the FO is protecting the players from Draymond. Remember him karate chopping harden's injured wrist and taking a shot at embiids injured back?

  17. "If only you knew the power of the Dark Side." "Fear is the path to the Dark Side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering." Suffering is Wemby not. — Welcome to the conspiracy. The water is warm. … I'm in your head. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣 // Third option that isn't Chicken Little, the Spurs are seeing that the team can win without Wemby. The ball is moving more. The team is coming together. So let it ride. Steve Kerr said that the new NBA is a developmental league. People don't know the game. Wemby gets stats, but he does not know the game. Let the team grow as Wemby gets individualized attention/instruction.

  18. Google AI says Fox and Wemby have been on the court for ONE game this season. …. Pop + crap Medical team = YGTBFCM!!!!

  19. I don't get the Excuse Noise and rarely check their website…. That dumpster fire of a city is only slightly better than its cousin to the north. (Yes, I've got fire insurance & a lot of neighbors with guns around. I think we can manage this 2-front war.) So, all I can say is that he's been reporting on the Spurs for nearly 2 decades. Dude must have connections. So… a well-manicured grapevine or SI?

  20. Da problem is we as fans have no clue what really ever goes on behind closed doors. We have idea how bad or 4 how long da injured will B out just like we have no idea if the front office is gonna settle, which I truly hope they aren't, or will they( which I really hope) try to land that 3 N D cat like a Trey Murphy 3? R they even trying as at least calling other teams up? Also we have no clue what they plan to do with Sochen R they on a trade package or let him walk. Just so frustrating not knowing anything. Da only thing we know for sure SA will not b moving to Austin, Las Vegas or Nashville despite that loser mayor of ours.
