Turnover NIGHTMARE: Detroit Pistons Collapse as Cade Cunningham STRUGGLES to Secure WIN vs Bucks

Detroit Pistons collapse against the Milwaukee Bucks, surrendering a crucial lead after Giannis Antetokounmpo’s early exit. Can Detroit find a way to steady the ship, or was their hot season start just a fluke?

Ku Khahil breaks down the Pistons’ mounting turnover problem, Cade Cunningham’s shooting woes, and the recurring struggles against zone defenses. Key topics include Jaden Ivey’s off-ball impact, the need to play Ausar Thompson significant minutes, and why expanding the rotation has backfired. Insightful analysis covers the Pistons’ recent net rating drop, lineup mismanagement, and the urgency of correcting bad habits before losses pile up. Is it an urgent trade for shooting the answer, or do the Pistons need their stars to hit shots and play smarter?

  1. 1st Listen. Yeah Ku, we can always use some shooters. This is just like last season. Our young guys are not the shooters. It's the new guy veteran that be the best shooter. Beasley last season and Duncan this season. The young guys can't shoot.

  2. Caris Levert in hid last post-season with the Cavs was 5 for 33 from 3…18% just saying. Look at his career…not at all a dependable high volume 3 point shooter!

  3. I don’t understand why he ended the 3rd quarter and started the 4th quarter with that horrible lineup

  4. Cade, Ivey, Ausar, and Duren should all be getting around 34mpg. Stew and Holland should get more minutes too and just cut out guys like Green unfortunately.

  5. They need 3 pt shooting. Teams are playing a 2-3 zone and clogging the lane to stop Cade and Duren.

  6. I’m also kinda done giving excuses for Cade’s 3ball. It is ABYSMAL this year. 30%?! At the quarter mark of the season? Can’t reach the heights he’s trying to reach without at least being consistently at 35%

  7. Without seeing much of the game and the box score, I assum cad had too many turnovers.. I'll say it again, he needs to me a 2 guard. Let Jenkins and holland grow into true 1 guards

  8. The whole team is flawed. Daniss is getting figured out, Duncan and ivey look like cones on defense, ausar and Holland cant shoot outside 5 feet. Stew is a hot head who does more harm than good a lot of games. You cant have ausar out there all game against a sagging zone when you dont have shooters to spread the floor. We need more complete players. Keon Ellis, trey Murphy, real 3 and d players.

  9. Cades shooting.. I know why his 3 pointer is so flat. That’s a big problem with mid-range guys not named KD… they tend to mess up their 3 point shot. 3 pointers should be 1 motion. Middies 2 motion. Cade is shooting 3 pointers with low arc and 2 motions like a middie. His trainers need to get on top of that.

  10. After this game I went back to look at possible trade scenarios and dig deeper into what’s going on with Malik Beasley’s case. The losses against Orlando and Boston and the very ugly win against Miami were atrocious games. Bickerstaff wasn’t at his best either.

  11. The season is a long haul , not a sprint……. that's why teams are using deeper lineups…If the Pistons are as good as we think they are…. Things will even themselves out…. By having as good a start as they have, they can afford to experiment, and figure some things out before the trade deadline….

  12. WERE NOT GOING TO CONTINUE TO WIN GAMES WITH LEVERT AND A fucking 2 WAY PLAYER DENISS GETTING CLUTCH MINUTES IN THE 4th!!!!!! we need a trade!!!! Levert is not a clutch time player he’s a bench player!!! Duncan is not either we desperately need another offensive player

  13. This pattern is becoming a JB Issue. KEEP THE MAIN THING, THE MAIN THING – stop trying to win every bench player the 6th man of the year!

  14. Ausar is absolutely the 2nd best player on the team. He should be bringing the ball up in to start transition offense. He plays enough minutes to win the game. Period.
    Daniss is backup PG.
I’ll say it – SIT LEVERT.

  15. Pretty ironic that Cade wins player of the month and JB wins coach of the month and then they both go out and have their worst game of the season. When the Bucks went to zone, JB should have used Chaz as the Duncan replacement.

  16. Ku, all good points but you fail to address what many were saying and you and others blew off: the schedule is going to catch up to us. Yes, we should still be able to beat a Boston or Giannis-less Bucks, but when they play active defense and are hitting shots it’s only 50-50. We are not expected to be an East leading team. Reality and the schedule are catching up b

  17. I don't think it's a fluke but the entire league has learned they need to match our defensive intensity, which is why turnovers are probably going to keep happening. The other teams are doing to us what we do to them. Their podcasters are probably all saying clean up the turnovers

  18. Ku, I don’t even blame that Paul Reed turnover completely on him. Cade has to know that we never want Teed bringing the ball up the floor and be looking for the ball. It is at least half on Cade.

  19. The turnovers are flat out embarrassing. Shocked how bad Cade still is with the ball. Shocked at how bad so many guys on this team are with turnovers. Just knucklehead basketball. Ugly to watch

  20. I remember why I don’t listen to this podcast after losses. You whine to much about the same thing for 30 minutes

  21. Green should start at SG until Duncan returns from injury. Daniss hasn't been good playing with Cade. Plus we desperately need him to be the backup PG.

Caris was a bad contract, and worse yet a waste of the MLE who doesn't even fill a need. If we don't trade him before the deadline, we should bench him unless injuries force us to play him.

Until Duren extends his shooting range further, and improves as a hub of the offense, he will remain a terrible fit with Ausar. having two non shooters on the floor with Cade makes life easy on the defense. In the playoffs, teams will know they can just pack the paint to beat us.

  22. Look at our scores in our wins vs losses. Our wins are mostly over 120pts and our losses closer to 110pts. We need to play faster. Whether that is Ausar and Stew getting turnovers into the break or just pushing and initiating our offense before the defense sets up doesn’t matter. We need to play faster. Our half court against a set defense is stagnant and losing us games.

  23. Ku, the problem with your just play your best guys is that we don’t know, outside of Cade and Ausar, who that is on any given night. Will Holland,LeVert, Ivey,Green, Jenkins, even Robinson decide to ball or flop on any night is a coin flip right now.

  24. Cades my guy but I’ve been saying it we need a closer… not saying Cade can’t close but he struggles 1 on 1… if we need a kyrie, Ingram, siakam etc just someone we can give the ball to and say “we gonna 5 out, go get a bucket”. It’s not a shot at Cade but even lebron needed kyrie to be that closer for him

  25. These dudes are becoming hard to watch, they miss too many free throws, make terrible passes and continue to turn the ball over like little kids as opposed to being professional basketball players
