Love watching games and he’s on the sideline next to the “family” yelling and celebrating. If you watch Celtics games you know the family that sits right next to the bench. Usually the dad with his 2 sons or cousins I’m guessing.
Celtics fans just want effort!! It’s not about winning every game!! Just compete! No excuses. You get paid millions to play for 2 hrs. Go hard or gtfo of Boston. 😂 Celtics isn’t for wveryone. Some players can’t deal with the pressure and attention to detail.

Reason Boston/New England is different is because of seasons like you're playing right now. Lose KP, Jrue, Horford and JT to injury so other teams would be thinking about tanking for draft position and instead we retool, give some younger guys their chance and one of our many leaders steps to the front when one falls to the side. Led by an amazing coach that makes sure the person is in good place before he cares how good of a ballplayer they can be and you see them thriving in those opportunities.
And besides all the on court accolades I can reference or the selflessness of players like D. White smashing his teeth and keeping it pushing, is the off court community work all these guys do. My younger brother has autism and through several programs he's been involved in has had direct access to all these guys and the amazing charities they run. My little brother got to be part of D. White's bowling league and direct shoutouts from JB and JT on birthdays etc. The nonprofit work they all do in our subsidized and low income housing communities has been incredible and is not celebrated enough so had to give it it's own paragraph.
Good luck the rest of the season, True Boston fans are always gonna celebrate you guys effort out there, appreciate you.
Such a good episode! Great being able to see Bill just chopping it up like this. Also it’s funny; JB was just talking about winding down after game on his stream last night and how the adrenaline can be the toughest part to come down from especially after a good win. You guys should definitely be guests on each others content.

Love Bill’s stories, so I’ll share one of my first Celtics pride moments that really connected me to the team. I grew up in a die-hard Celtics family, listening to my dad’s Larry Bird stories and how that era shaped what Celtics basketball means, toughness, winning, and carrying yourself with pride. When I was a freshman, I went to the Dave Cowens Camp right as Brad Stevens took over, putting up 500 shots a day because basketball was becoming part of my identity, and I even got to ask Brad real questions about the new culture he was building after the Big Three. I got to meet Avery Bradley and Jared Sullinger, Avery defending with that East Coast mentality where every possession is personal and Sully bringing that undersized power-forward toughness that proved effort beats height, and trainers dissected every detail of my game, helping me shift from the post to the wing at 6'3" and holding me to a higher standard that felt like Celtics basketball. Hearing Joe Mazzulla talk about his own journey through Celtics camps like Dave Cowens and even meeting Red Auerbach made everything feel full circle, like these moments get passed down through generations of fans and players. Now I work in coding and analytics and one of my favorite hobbies is using Python to predict games based on unique metrics like Joe’s 25-point quarter theory, still chasing that same Celtics family excellence, and hoping one day to be part of the analytics team for this organization that has always felt like home.
