   Getting into the playoffs this season is basically hopeless already, but I need to make some quick moves to let such a miracle happen if it wants to. This is part of breaking Les Boulez' permanent tank culture. I need to move two 2 2-way players and 3 regular contracts to make room for more size and more ball-handling. Then I need to more carefully assess what remains for the rest of the season. Winger's headline blunder is not using what he inherited. I would only do that with those initial 5 moves, which may well include some mistakes, but things are urgent. My apologies to the guys who get moved. I hope you all become MVPs.

   Given Beal, Wall, Juwan Howard and so on, this franchise needs a 1/8 rule; pay nobody more than 1/8 of the cap. I support such a rule. That's about $16M a year now I think. McCulloch and Middleton will be in conformance if and when they get re-signed here. The point is Sarr, especially, needs to be notified that I don't think he will ever make supermax money here.

   The coaching staff will be all new.
