Miami Heat Reportedly Had Meeting Over Ja Morant Trade and His Potential Fit w/ Franchise
Tobin reacts to the report from Jake Fischer that the Miami Heat met internally over Ja Morant and if the franchise’s infrastructure could benefit him if they traded for him. It was also reported the team is open to trading Andrew Wiggins and is unsure about their ability to trade Terry Rozier.

Ja Morant, In my humble opinion, isn't a good fit for the Heat. Checkered past to name one reason.

So you think we are going to trade for a player making 40 mil a year with is off the court reputation and put him on south beach? Make that make sense.
No! Let Ja be someone else's problem. When he isn't injured he's getting suspended. He already misses 25-30 games every year and that will only get worse as he gets older. His game is based on athleticism, and that won't last forever. Do the Heat need another guard who doesn't play defense? Wiggins is a solid citizen who does everything, and trading him for a problem child makes no sense to me.

If we can get him while keeping our top 5 guys I’m all for it. Thing is the Heat are really deep. We can probably get him for Wigs, Jokic, and Roziers contract. Throw in a draft pick for good measure. Boom
Morant should be Plan B if Giannis deal doesn’t work out. I question his durability and activities off the court. UD and Zo definitely gotta have that discussion set the ground rules if he does end up on the heat. Giannis tho is top priority!!!!

if they trade Wiggins you will see a huge difference in the team defense, lots of SF/SG (the taller SGs) will have career nights in points against the Heat!
