How The Pacers Built A Finals Team… And How It Fell Apart

Coming into the playoffs as a 4th seed, they made it all the way to the NBA Finals and only fell at the hands of the 68 win Oklahoma City Thunder. Today we examine how the Pacers built that Finals team, and how it almost fell apart in a matter of weeks…

  1. The east is weaker than ever and Indiana will make it to the playoffs. I guess Obi Toppin is the starting 5 now or they still can make a trade for someone else. I still believe in this team.

  2. guys they repeated 3 parts of the video 3 times each as a tribute to myles turner's #33 , respect 💛💙

  3. The Pacers might’ve built a Finals team, but was it ever a Finals- caliber team? Weak by those standards. Historically weak.

  4. idk if the audio repeating is engagement farming but if it is holy shit please do something else it so annoying

  5. I don’t think there’s an nba finals team that was fallen apart instantly like this other than the 1998 bulls but everyone knew that was going to happen even before the season started

  6. I wouldn't be shocked to see Siakim traded in the off season or even before the deadline. With his age and looking out to the next year when hali returns, it would be a good way to try and get younger players and probably good pick compensation as well. I think we could very well see McConnell traded before the deadline. I think they will (i think they SHOULD) try to make sure they have the flexability to get up and really go to replace Turner for example when Hali is ready to return to the floor

  7. They are the 4th seed againn next year and shock the NBA again. But us pacers fans won't be surprised

  8. Indiana will still make a playoff run without that bum myles turner and with the goat out next season

  9. I’m actually curious about the options the Pacers have to actually upgrade the center position in the next year. Does Wiseman finally live up to his potential? Do they make a big trade for a young center? The Pacers always had Turner on the trade block, but I think in their minds, there just either wasn’t a good enough offer for him, or there wasn’t a better option. If you throw in guys like Kessler, Adebayo, and even former Pacers Sabonis, you might have some good options out there as far as a trade. Hartenstein does seem like a solid option if he’s worth. That was the Knicks biggest mistake last offseason in letting him go. And then there are plenty of guys teams might not want to keep or can’t afford. And at the end of the day, the draft is always a possibility.

  10. Wouldn’t be a Synthetic Sports video without repeating sentences (ik yall are working hard on that Heatles retrospective)

  11. Its a long shot, but if the Pacers retain their core starters till Haliburton returns, I believe they can make another deep playoff run.

  12. Yeah it sucks that they did everything right for a couple of years to get this contending window and it slammed shut on their hands like a Tom and Jerry cartoon. If Hali could stay healthy they'd be fine but he hasn't been able to. Mathurin will be gone.

  13. The whole pretense of this video is just dumb, it hasn’t been a month since the finals and they lost Myles turner, that’s it

  14. Lmao why you think that Myles turner is so important bro he’s wash bro and Halliburton will be back everybody on the pacers will be good bro

  15. The media has always disrespected Toronto's title because of injury but with the thunder the glazing was unreal, not even giving any attention to how it could have played out. Not saying thepacers for sure would win, but no credit to them at all
