  1. If you can get a guy in this next draft you got to take a chance to add another piece this next offseason. Draft or trade for one. Most teams hold onto big guys more than anything else. We need to find someone to replace Davis and Gafford in the draft as well. We have nemby and B will plus whatever we get when Irving returns so PG is deep. I say that but if we can add that 6'9 PG in this years draft class we kill 2 birds with one stone by adding size and a PG capable talent at the same time. Now if we can snag another pick, then we can start adding bigs to replace the guys we have who are injured and or getting traded.

  2. They should trade him before.he didn't shows any skill improvements.and keep gafford.ane get the young center with the heat.

  3. I feel bad for Lively, but how does this change anything? We all expected it and it's not like he's a star player. Yes, he's a pretty good big and those don't grow on trees. You keep them when you have them. Hint hint…

  4. Lively junior street clothes😳👀👀👀🤣🤣🤣 AD senior street clothes 😳👀👀👀🤣🤣🤣🤣

  5. If there's a season to miss to get fully better it's this one. This is because Nico fired Casey Smith. He's had issues with this foot ever since that new incompetent medical staff missed that stress fracture and had him play on it.

  6. 7 footers with foot problems basically never come back once they get that first injury. I doubt Lively ever plays meaningful minutes for the Mavs again.

  7. I been telling yall since last season we don’t need to be talkign about Gafford traded when D Live is clearly the least dependable big on the team

  8. Lively has become a problem for two seasons now he plays 1/4 of every season maybe Anthony Davis looks healthy as fuck compared to lively and he’s gonna want to get paid 30 mill this year so the score 12 points a game when he does play

  9. Idk why ppl are trying to give up on lively, especially when he was told he was healthy to play and wasn’t. That’s not his fault, plus we wasted a lottery pick on him, we’re 100% keeping him. He’s waaaay too young to give up on. I still think he’s apart of the future.

  10. If you are going to trade AD and keep Lively, make sure Exum and Martin are included to free up more roster space. Make Nembhards contract permanent and sign Kai Jones or Moses Brown to go with Gafford.

  11. The suns would reject this but I would call Phoenix and propose a Lively for Maluach trade

  12. Remember when going into the season we were talking about lively being the 3rd most important player 🤦‍♂️🥲 we shud tank FR. I’m gonna be sad/mad if we don’t tank, the chance at getting one of these top 5ish guys is too beneficial to pass up..
imagine starting a new era with
    Nemhard/Flagg/Christie/PJ
And either someone like Caleb Wilson or Mikel Brown Jr from Louisville

  13. We can carry one or two injury prone players in our roster but Nico built a team where half the guys were brittle. Keep Lively. He’s young and talented and might still be productive with the right support. Maybe he won’t be but he’s cheap and young and a smarter risk to take than the others.

  14. Mavs have 5 centers in the roster (counting AD), 3 of whom cannot be counted to play a huge part of the season. Their most enticing trade asset – Gafford – can't be traded in case both Lively and AD are out. They have to get rid of two of those centers.

  15. It’s simple. You offer him a contract . As it stands it going to be a pretty low number considering it’s purely on potential at this point. If another team offers him significantly more, good for him. You also helped him get a bag. If not, you may have one of the best bargain centers in the league and more cap space to rebuild. Hit me up Adelson.

  16. This makes sense why they haven’t played Cisse too much recently. Going to need him for later on in the season with two way guys being limited to a certain amount of games they can be played. As for Lively, it’s a tough break for the kid. After losing his mom over a year ago, I’m sure basketball was apart of his therapy in dealing with the loss. Now he won’t be having that anytime soon. Hopefully his teammates are encouraging the young man through this tough times. God bless him.

  17. Some bodies just can't hold up to the rigors of a full NBA season, esp bigs.
DLive appears to be one of those. Moreover, foot injuries are the Achilles' heel of big men.
Good heart, great athlete, plenty of upside, just can't stay on the floor.

  18. I love listening to the podcasts but damn boy, you are always so freaking negative on everything. Nico gone, quit talking about the guy.

  19. It worked because of Luka. You were a contender because of Luka. Mavs need a reset if you believe in Flagg. Need to figure out what you need and current structure is not what you need

  20. STOP IT TELL ISSAC TOO!! Leave AD alone, if the Mavs make it to the play in or off that means AD is playing out of his mind ( trade value is high) AD may like playing with Kyrie and Coop and give the Mavs a discount on his contract to bring in who they want or you can wait till the summer because of his value you can get what you want for him. These are the talks behind the scene😮 You see Kyrie gave a discount 😊

  21. Why hasn't this complete training staff been fired? We still got one of Nico's guys on the staff! Get rid of all of them and get a completely new staff.

  22. Let’s not mention Nico ever again.

So the Detroit deal is now

    AD AND DLo

    For

    Harris expiring contract (cut immediately)

    Stewart (100% certifiably insane)

    Ivey (hurt)

    Holland (can’t shoot)

Two #1’s (somewhere in the 20’s)

Sadly that’s the best possible deal.
Make it and let’s move on.

Let’s move Klay for an expiring contract.
    ANY EXPIRING CONTRACT.
Martin to Miami for an expiring contract.

Let’s start over with young, hungry players with something to prove.
Use the picks and the LA pick to get back our picks and swaps.
    Clean slate.
Get lucky again and get a top 4 pick (not really a strategy).

    The new bench is

    Holland
    Ivey
    Stewart
    Marshall and
    BWill

    The starting 5

    Gafford
    PJ
    Flagg
    Christie
    Nembhard

Someday Kyrie, Lively and the 2026 #1 pick(Peterson….their I spoke it into existence)

Actually that’s kind of an exciting group.

The Luka deal would then be Christie, three #1’s, Ivey, Holland, Stewart, a large expiring contract, FLAGG AND a top 4 pick in the 2026 draft (please).
    Not happy but less pissed.

  23. Hope he'll recover and turns into a tyson chander 2.0.
I remembered when tyson came out he had a rash of injuries first few years and as he learned the game he learned how to use his length instead of go after evey balls like young Derek.
