If the Raptors WANT to be OKC East, here’s the path forward
If the Toronto Raptors want to be ‘like’ OKC, these are 10 rules they ought to follow for optimal results. While they’ve built on MANY OKC principles, they’ve yet to do much beyond pay lip service to the ideal. Let me go across the league and identify the types of players you actually need to compete with OKC’s model and overall principles. It’s not for everyone. It’s not easy.

If I'm looking to buy low while upping my defense, then I'm inquiring about O-Max Prosper; only 23, great in transition, provides vertical athleticism we so desperately lack, yet is stuck on a two-way.
You need an MVP who rivals MJs/Kobes prime, a 7’1 demigod who can put the ball on the floor, shoot and a top 5 defensive player in the league. This is all before we even bring up J-Dub who is a top 20 player in the league. Very hard to replicate that regardless if you get rid of IQ and RJ and would take a few more lottery seasons if we are being honest
We need someone similar to Hartenstein. Mobile centers that can pass and defend have dominated the league since Russell. If we had no one on this roster but Scottie, Hartenstein-type center, and CMB we'd feel really comfortable about what we could build out of that.
OKC and Boston last year won off driving talent. Jalen Williams, Shai, Chet, White, Holiday, Tatum, Brown
Even Okc prioritizing, Ajay Mitchell, Dillon Jones, Topic in the draft.
People were getting to the rim in he 80s and 90s. Find guys who can get to the rim with no space and give them space.
Ingram gets 1 more year. He has no choice but to tighten up his inconsistencies. We'll know next year if he's worth it or not.
