  1. The Celtics will go back down to earth and will lose to the Heat in the playoffs like usual 😴

  2. It's actually kind of annoying that they're doing this well. They should be tanking

  3. Bill, your Celtics take are the bane of your existence. We are so sick of you talking about the Celtics. Stop pretending to cover national sports and just go do local sports in Boston because those are the only people who give a shit. This is probably the reason you only have 254k subscribers to this channel while independent operations like ThatsGoodSports has 831k subscribers to their channel. You are a national sports personality who has been around for over two decades and have worked at. If companies and spent a lot of time on TV and you started Grantland and now The Ringer, both of which have been very successful websites and yet you still have less YouTube subscribers than some nobody with now where near the same level of experience and name recognition as you. If you were to ask around for honest answers about why that may be, I guarantee that a main reason would be that you are a giant homer who can’t stop bringing up Boston sports (particularly the Celtics), even when they are completely irrelevant to the topic being discussed and it doesn’t even matter how good they are, you are determined to make them a part of every single conversation.

  4. It’s not nobody believes in us; it’s when you take Tatum off the roster they are a very good team still… if anything it’s an indictment on Tatum and that he has only one ring with this stacked roster

  5. Glad JB is showing his real worth this year. Too many NBA fans and media and Boston fans have shit on him repeatedly.

That being said, that's not a championship team. The east is weak as f**k this year. Remind me that season were Atlanta finished first with 60 wins and four all stars. And I hope they're not gonna make the mistake to resign Simmons.

  6. Finally, people are waking up to the fact that JB has been on the same level as Tatum for years now.

  7. Every single NBA player in the league has something to prove wdym? There’s very few guys clocking in each day thinking “eh who gives a s*** how well I do tonight”

  8. I think what’s happening is just Brad and Joe being great at their jobs, and obviously JB being better at seemingly everything this year.

JB, White, and Pritchard are what we expected, championship caliber players. Queta has taken a step, and then we finally hit on a couple of our role players. Walsh has been amazing, Minott has been great too.

And lastly, Joe made two changes that really turned things around early in the season. He gave Walsh the starting spot and he pretty much stopped playing Garza and Tillman, opting for small ball with the second unit. Ever since then their offense has been great and their record has been great.

  9. They play in the weakest conference of the last 20 years but bill will not waste an opportunity to throat them down

  10. Sounds like the Phoenix Suns this year. They have one star playing and the other is hurt. They have guys who fight like they’re playing for their life! They play defense and scrap for the ball on both sides of the court

  11. Jaylen Brown is unnecessarily hated, but it’s because guys say things like he is one of the 12 to 15 best players in the league. He is closer to 20. The last 5 games it feels like things are finally slowing down for him as a creator, but until he can be better than a 1:1 assist/turnover ratio, he can’t be up there with guys that actually make others better. Loses focus defensively away from the ball way too often. Great on ball, great scorer, but just isn’t in that class that lift his teammates around him.

  12. I really thought they would be 500 at best or terrible at worst. The Jordan Walsh thing is unreal to see. Brown has been passing and a true leader while the team plays hard and has beaten the Knicks Cavs and Pistons who all have better teams. Hats off to the coaching staff

  13. I was all aboard this team trading more pieces away, tearing it down, and tanking for a top pick to pair up with Brown and Tatum next year…

But the way Jaylen Brown has said absolutely fuck that, and put the team on his back, with all these other guys contributing has been amazing to watch.

  14. and Tatum is posting workout videos like he never even got hurt bro is ready to join the team by January 1st at this point 😂

  15. Queta is also the first and only NBA player ever to be born in portugal, there's gotta be a lot to prove there.

  16. I wouldn’t say, “ Everybody “. The Houston Rockets PULVERIZED THEM, into Green Dust. Considering that, the real test takes place on The 1st Southwest Road Trip( Denver, San Antonio, Houston ).

  17. Loved those Brad Stevens squads. they played like dawgs, Jae Crowder would guard the best player on the opposing teams sometimes even centers, Smart would get under the skin of a random guy, IT was playing like prime AI even Tyler Zeller looked like a solid big. Brad would draw crazy out of bounds plays, Brown couldn't even see the floor. I had more fun watching those underdog runs than the year we were champions

  18. Its hilarious that Bill Simmons comes up with the idea behind the Ewing theory, partially as a tongue in cheek way to make fun of Patrick Ewing, and then his favorite team becomes an all time obvious example of said theory

  19. Crazy how having the finals mvp helps your team do better lmao. Obviously JT is irreplaceable but brown is still one of the best players in the east. Once the role players started performing and Queda started playing solid paint defense, it only makes sense that they look like a team that could make the playoffs. I see them getting 45 wins at least

  20. Boucher finally has a chance n is supposed to be stepping up to bigger role but hasn't worked out he's gotta be frustrated. He need to find a role as a rebounder n spot up shooter.

  21. It's the culture Danny, Brad & Joe have built (and those who have come before them). Everybody who puts on a jersey has to put their hard hat on and go to work. Judging by comments from Blake Griffin and Marcus Smart comparing team cultures – the culture is very good at Boston.
