Trading assets for a backup point guard who will only play a few minutes behind Jalen Brunson is stupid. The knicks are thinner at center and power forward. Moreover, Tyler Kolek deserve a chance to show what he can do if given enough playtime.

Alvarado is a native NYer. We love our own.
When healthy he can help us against most teams. The issues are he is injury prone and his size on defense. Also giving up Kolek and Dadiet who we might need for a bigger trade could be a disaster.
Why not go after Anthony Davis to win now. Towns & Davis & Brunson on the floor together would be a nightmare to match up against.
