  1. A win is a win is a win, greatest take away from this DUB. In the long term this Performance is Not sustainable in a Playoff matchup against a well organized Team.

We still have a lot of Space to improve

  2. I’d be totally fine with retiring CP3. Best true PG of my generation, it would be an honor. That hamstring needs a damn break.

  3. Bari was lowkey locking up Harden and Kawhi on a good number of defensive possessions. He's gotten better navigating screens on defense.

  4. I think a lot of everyone strong reaction to this year is that this actually feels like Ime first year actually being okay with developing the players we have. Roles were much more simplified his first two years and now he’s letting them explore/test out their game.

Yall touched on it briefly and i know yall hate when they wait until crunch time to do it but personally i see added wrinkles to that KD/Goon PNR. Last 4 mins of the game we started to pick them apart with that then at one point instead of amen cutting/in the dunker, Bari relocated to the dunker and you can tell it was something they didn’t even expect. More on Jabari we gotta legit give him credit. He is managing to do more offensively while also keeping his turnovers in the same range as his first 3 seasons but has increased his assists. I love love seeing that, i think considering we didn’t have him doing any of that he’s been doing a great job. IMO it’s just going to get better once his body evens out.

I’m starting to agree more and more regarding Amen being a play finisher. I don’t know the numbers off the top of my head but it just feels like he does everything better once he catches the ball and just attacks not just dunks but midrange too.

I believe we’ll tighten up as season goes on.

  5. we need to f'ing play to figure it out man this schedule is killing me i'm like a fiend craving rockets basketball

  6. You guys should stick to regurgitating statistics. Your perspectives on the rockets are very pessimistic and overly critical

  7. Nice that you guys mention the ball hug and movement issue. They just cant continue to spend the whole 24 clock with the ball in 1-2 hands only to end forcing a late clock shot.

By the way did you guys noticed that 1/4 into the season and baby Reed is #4 in +/-???

    – Adams: +9.3
    – Amen: +9.0
    – Jabari: +8.7
    👉Reed: +8.2
    – KD: +8.1
    – Sengun: +6.7
    – Holiday: +5.3
    – Tari: +4.0
    – Okogie: +2.5
    – Crawford: +1.0

  8. "What we need our guys to do is stop developing their outside shots and become one dimensional". If we don't want Amen to shoot 3s or Sengun to stop shooting outside shots it's just going to make us way easier to guard and we aren't winning shit so start looking forward to the 2030 drafts and onwards. Next person that says they don't want Jabari to dribble is gonna make me have an aneurysm.

  9. The team is not close to OKC at this time, so I'm cool leaning into development for this season. So we have to maximize variance. If Amen can convince his jumpshot to fall a few times in a random game we can actually win.

  10. Disagree with Amen shooting. If he doesn't get shooting reps then he'll never turn it around when we absolutely need to stretch the floor in May

  11. 29:15 I feel like Reed does that thing where he lets people get past and attacks the ball from behind so often that they have to be scheming it. Like it seems like he’s not even trying to stay in front. It looks like he’s going for a steal from behind and trying to shade his man into the help every time. And it doesn’t seem to work very well.

Maybe they adjust that throughout the course of the season but it worries me if the coaching staff is telling him to play for steals like that because it means they’re not confident in his ability to stay in front.

  12. Yes watch our offense is like watching my daughter doing IXL, after 5 questions with correct method and getting correct answers, she will be like let me try out this mental math thing… And instantly set back 10 points.

I was like what are you doing girl…

  13. I think the offense is indicative of 3 things. Ime is just not a good offensive coach. Which is highly concerning. But hopefully it won’t get in the way of title hopes. Rockets young players are currently low IQ. Bad fouls. Gambling with passes. Uncomfortable inbounding the ball. And lastly, the league as a whole has low IQ. So this issue will take some time to address. Rockets relying a lot on talent and size.

  14. Sengun and Reed defense is horrible .. like i have been saying for year's about Sengun, if his offensive output isnt Jokic like and nothing short of it, the rockets wont win a championship with him at 30 plus minutes a game

  15. Rockets are a different team with Tari Eason we also have not seen DFS I think they will be ok.

  16. In the 4th quarter, Amen was the play making guard who won them the game. It was his passing that did this. Amen has got better every month in this new role. You can look it up.
