Realistically kings should look to take just about any deal from Derozen. Move Domas to the 4 Raynaud starting 5 Murray at the 3 and Lavine can stay or go even offer Russ another year deal. Give the youngsters time under the younger vets who can get trade value. Then we can get some draft picks for Monk and Keon. Give Nique some time. We can do that Zack no Zack
It's my opinion that The Kings should be major sellers and try to get off the contracts of Sabonis, DeRozan, and Schroeder.
I think their top priority should be the center position.
Either a young veteran nba center that is sort of under-valued but who offers defensive rebounding, shot blocking, and a consistent lob threat or an older center whose value around the league has fallen a bit but who is still somewhat of an impact player.
This way the team can experiment with Raynaud as a 4, with Murray at the 3.
One of the issues with The Kings is a lack of size.
The reason i didn't put Zach Lavine on the above list is his contract is incredibly difficult to move now with that player option and his value around the league is not as high as Sabonis'.
I think Sabonis has some real value because a lot of gm's like his game and his game looked really terrific in a modern nba system under Mike Brown.
Lavine's contract will be very favorable to move after he opts in, which he 1000% will do in the offseason.
Dealing Schroeder allows Clifford to take those backup point guard minutes and even starts as the season goes forward.
Russ is the perfect mentor for him.
I would not be moving Ellis or Monk at this time.
They add value in different ways.
Monk can be both the team's sixth man for points off the bench and a fan favorite who stays on board for the rebuild.
Ellis is the 3 and D wing every nba team covets.
