The brother talked smack on OKC, said he's gonna be the best player in the world when he comes back. He came back and beat a 24-1 team while being the clear main factor in only 21 min 𤣠He's the chosen one
Iām going to say it right now in a year or two spurs and OKC going to run the west rivalry teams
watch him dropping the lakers at the 6-8 spots and putting the spurs at the 4th on the next power ranking
Mitch Johnson will win Coach of the Year…Keldon Johnson is the 6th Man of the Year…Castle is Most Improved…Harper is Rookie of the Year…Wemby is MVP and DPOY…š¤£š¤£šš
What the spurs did last night is replicable. It wasnāt just a one night thing.
THEN ⦠Wemby clearly has room for improvement. And it seems obvious that he simple will improve w experience and hard work.
I genuinely believe that the spurs are a top 3 team in the west rn. Only OKC and Denver I believe, in a 7 game series have a better chance to win against them. But even then they litteraly beat both those teams and also the lakers and Huston. So they really should be considered as contenders this year. As long as they are healthy the spurs will make a deep run
The Chet v Wemby talk is silly.
Chet is a GREAT player, but the way Wemby impacts a game is just on another level. On both ends, everyone is thinking about VW in a way that they simple arenāt w CH.
I still think itās too early to say whoās the best few teams in the league other than OKC but we have to give them credit right now
the spurs are balling
OKC and Spurs will write a new page of NBA… a Wemby, OMG… this kid is not a human.
Spurs are a top 5 team when fully healthy.
Barnes ,wide open couldn't hit the broad side of a barn
Spurs are the best team after OKC in the NBA.
At least we don't have to see any more dynasty videos or This is terrifying okc videos. Coach Dag turns into Doc rivers when ever he plays a dominate big man. He sits both his 7 footers and guards wemby with jalen williams. He did the same thing against Yocich and the only reason okc beat denver was because they got injured during the series. Unless coach dag changes his strategy against either Denver or San Antonio they will loose to either of those teams i'm calling it now.

The Spurs do not need to make a trade. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STOP SPEAKING OF TRADES. NO WE ARE NOT DALLAS OR L.A WE BUILD DON'T BUY.
Only concern with Wemby is health at his height
Fourth best contender??šā¦
I promise you they beat the three teams you have before them.
MPJ for HB? lmao no sir. I get the idea tho but nah
This is why Denver and San Antonio have more than just a shot against OKC. They have generational all time great players. Both of the their superstars have top 10 all time potential and when you have that level of player and just a fair amount of help they can tip the balance even against a stacked deep team like OKC. I think Houston has a slightly smaller chance just because the all time great player is pretty old but has a great young core around him.
Mitch is the man
Wemby has the same effect on his team as Gianniās does. Wemby cast just better than Giannis
If the spurs are like this without a fully healthy team, Sochan and Carter not at their best as forwards, lacking a solid third center and shooting the 3 poorly, then when they put it together the league is in trouble.
You can see how this Spurs team, with 1 or 2 years more to develop and build more chemistry, is going to be a big problem for OKC. They have the athleticism, size, and talent to overmatch them.
Victor is so good, but, if defense put 3 bodies on him like on joker and referees doing same job, it would make game diferent…
I watched world cup when aleksa avramovic average euroleague player shut shai totally, its all depended on referees
Spurs don't need to trade anyone. Build up experience like OKC and compete with them for the next 5 or 6 years
Only trade Iād make for the spurs is for Trey Murphy, Sochan is out of the rotation if they could make something work there, thatās worth it
The Spurs are great but the issue is Wemby can't hold up for a season. He even talked about it in the interview after the game how the 82 game season is tough on him physically. He said he was "fresh" for this game. We have already seen it this season. He played really well in the first 5 games or so and then he started to fall off once the season got going. He was great opening night, but couldn't keep that level of play up. You will see the same thing again, and the playoffs will be especially difficult for him. The Spurs would be wise to adjust their strategy with him by keeping his playing time under 30 mins every night even during the playoffs, and not playing him in many games. Winning awards is always going to be difficult for him cause he will struggle to meet the 65 game threshold. For this reason, I don't think the Spurs are real contenders. He has never played in the playoffs, he clearly has no idea how much of an internal physical battle it takes to get thru them. They might win a series, but Wemby just isn't ready for a deep playoff run, and I'm not sure if he will ever be. I need to see him bring it night after night before I will believe in the Spurs.
Spurs had 2 or 3 close games they should have won…so were really not that far off from okc
Lakers arenāt in this class donāt disrespect the spurs
Caruso played very well
Okc are going to 3peat but after this 3peat Spurs are coming
OKC is beatable⦠donāt get me wrong they are a great team but the media is hyping them as being unbeatable which just isnāt true.
They arenāt a ābigā team outside of their front court. If you have athletic defenders that can guard SGA and handle the bump/push off that he does + a sizable front court you can beat this team.
You have to play smart and CANNOT turn the ball over and allow them to get into transition. Itās easier said than done but rn I think Denver, Houston, & San Antonio have the personnel to beat OKC in a 7Gm series.
(Lakers are a dark horse but they arenāt athletic enough so itāll be tough)
By the end of the season spurs will be in WCF
Seriously if these two ball clubs are clearly aiming for a championship. They must fight for Giannis
The strengths of these two teams is unbelievably almost equal. The one who gets Giannis will elimate the equality
Spurs showed that to compete against the OKC you gotta to meet the intensity on defense like they do…
The Wemby factor is the he discouraged drive to the paint and force though shots… you don't need to outplay okc offensively, you just need to suffocate them defensively and you gotta a chance… but let's be real… they still the best team in the league by a mile…
