Will the Spurs be threats to OKC come playoff time?
Loving this OkC/Spurs rivalry. Such elite talent on both ends and was happy to see an ugly grind out defensive type of game. GSG
I was in T-Mobile. It was wild. Got a little worried in the beginning, but it finally got going. Definitely more Spurs fans than Thunder fans.

OKC was gassed entire 4th quarter. Spurs ran them out of the gym, 3 guard lineup works.
Spurs are as deep as the Thunder! Thunder are built like the Duncan era Spurs. They’ll always compete but won’t repeat. Our days of missing the playoffs are over. THE SPURS ARE BACK!!! 48 minutes of hell is back!!!

Congratulations to the Spurs. There is no irony in that OKC's essense is based on the Spurs model nor the fact that Sam Presti had formerly worked for that organization.
Still, for all the "I told you sos" and the "overrated" takes out there, I would still point out that OKC's two losses were by a combined total of four points.
Don't be surprised if OKC learns the lessons from this test to rip of another extended winning streak.

In both seven game series they lost the first game-and overcame it.
In the first quarter the Spurs couldn't buy a bucket. If they had been making shots this would have been a blowout
For me, with Barnes, Kornet, Champagnie and Harper all having off nights offensively, and still being able to compete with OKC is a testament to how deep and gritty they are. Keldon didn’t have a great game either.
There were times where SA was showing us some glaring holes in OKCs game. If they control possessions and the ball better and don’t have many of their scorers shooting bricks, they win this game by 15.
My point, the Spurs played sloppy and STILL managed to beat OKC and it wasn’t as close as the score says as all the fouls at the end inflated numbers.
Who can beat SA when they are clicking on all gears?! Because if they can beat OKC while having an off night, I don’t see anyone beating them in a 7 game series. Too many shooters and the gravity that Wemby, Fox, Castle, and Harper draw to the paint will always leave someone open or an easy layup. A team this young and inexperienced should not be able to pull off close games like this against defending champions. Their talent pool is ridiculously deep.

Wemby/Castle/Harper are all under 23. These 3 will run the league in their prime! SGA will be in his 30s by then, but OKC has crazy good draft capital to keep going. Both have smart front offices. This will be the west future for the next 10 years.

This is the spurs best win OF THE DECADE. Not enough is said about the drought this team has been on because of their lottery luck, but the spurs have the second longest active playoff drought in the LEAGUE behind the fucking hornets.

The Spurs are the deepest team in the NBA. They are long, fast and have more energy than any team.
If the Spurs played like that with a poor 1st quarter shooting and limited minutes Wemby, Spurs are scary. The pace and defense is going to be hard to beat for many teams moving forward.
Great game to watch although it was frustrating watching them insist on shooting 3s in the first half. Barnes is at 40% and he was 0-for. And the TOs were mostly unforced. The forced ones came with some slaps and hacks 😂. Both teams will learn from it but the Spurs will benefit the most imo
The entire league is glad the OKC Floppers lost. Their game is trash.
