If the standard is beating OKC then I dont know that one draft pick would really make a difference. They are a championship team and have a ton of early round draft picks for the foreseeable future. We better hope we hit big on the next draft.
Tank, don’t tank, I don’t rly care. But we have to trade AD. We can’t sell out the Flagg era hoping he can stay healthy. And we definitely can’t sell out the Flagg era by giving him a big contract extension. He’s just not a long term piece here and we have to flip him for as many picks as we can get.
Two timeline builds have only worked once! (And it was on an already established dynasty) we have to build around Flagg asap
The Mavs need to tank and revamp for next season. I’m looking at young teams like Spurs, Thunder, Pistons, etc. That’s where I want the Mavs to be. This two timeline thing needs to be put to rest and fully commit to the Flagg era. Start the rebuild now because it’s coming, no need to put it off.

Trading max will be as dumb as trading grimes. He’s the best young player we have outside coop. He’s the perfect “Klay Thompson” to pair with coop going forward. No draft pick they’ll be willing to offer is worth losing what max brings to this team now, and going forward.

AD trade in the off-season if it happens. A 3 for 1 or 4 for 1 is not possible.

People underestimate the value of high end veterans showing Cooper the way. AD is a top 50 player that has won college, NBA, Olympic, World Cup, and Emirates Cup TITLES. He also still holds the most points in the All-Star game. Also you are more likely to get Andrew Wiggins in this draft than Wymbe, Luka, or Cooper. Finally, AD just take the pay cut so they can stop talking about trading you.

My main question is about Nembhart. Is he really as good as he’s been looking or is this just a miniature insanity moment. Can we consistently win games, and if so is that good or bad for the team in the long term
Ive been paying attention to more potential draft prospects. It really does look really good. Lottery picks in particular. If mavs get in top 10, i feel confident we will find a guy to match up well with Coop for the future
Cooper and his family was excited to be on a team to compete for a chip. Winning (with proven superstars) sooner rather than later may be more important to Coop and the family. Mavs can easily make it to the 5-6 playoff seed this season with Kai, AD and Coop.
The Mavs get lucky and unlucky when it comes to high draft picks. We get Luka and he makes the team better instantly and it takes forever to build a good team around him. We get cooper due to horrible roster management and now we’re not bad enough to get a good draft spot more than likely.
