    The Mavericks are 10-17 and just lost to Utah. Sure, Flagg had a great game, but if AD were there, he would not have scored 42. So ultimately, the question is still here. Keep AD or build around Flagg?

    Cooper had the same number of free-throw attempts as the total shots PJ Washington put up. Twenty free throw attempts are insane.

    The idea that Copper and Nembhard are the reason for Dallas’ surge doesn’t hold up. The real variable is Anthony Davis. Without him, Dallas can’t even handle a tanking Jazz team. That tells you everything.

    Seriously, Jason kidd is killing the Mavs. His looking for means to be sacked so that he can go to the knicks. If that's his plan, he should resign and move to Knicks than gassing Cooper.

    Thank you, God for this loss. Rookies played well and we took a step towards our draft pick. Cant think of a better day. Now, we should bring back Davis and trade him but keep losing intentionally

    Was a really fun game to watch Coop do his thing, 42 points is unreal. But I thought he probably took on a little bit too much by himself late in the game and maybe should have let someone else handle the ball for a stretch in the 4th, not saying the loss is on Coop but there were a few costly turnovers near the end that allowed the Jazz to get the lead in the first place and maybe they wouldn’t have even got to OT if he was off the ball for a spell. But from a team perspective that last couple mins of the 4th and the entire OT was really really poor, you just can’t be losing to the Jazz.

    We lost because Kidd couldn't come up with any ideas. He ran the same play the whole time: Nembhard, Naji, or whoever would bring the ball up and give it to Cooper to attack the basket. That was fine in the first half, but in the second it became too predictable. Christie only took eight shots, and PJ and Naji were shooting well. They could have tried something else.

    He was definitely gassed in the 4th quarter and overtime. he had some careless turnovers and missed several close-in shots and free throws. He'll get better and stronger…which is scary.

    Calling this performance “incredible” is a stretch. He took 20 free throws and still only finished 13 for 27 from the field. Missed shots on shooting fouls are not counted in the NBA, and and-ones do count as made field goals. Thats why you always see crazy efficient shooting numbers for players that go to the line a lot.

    This box score might make more sense if he was taking a lot of threes, but he went 1 for 4. With that kind of whistle and usage, a DECENT NBA scorer is pushing 45 or 50.

    I get the excitement, but basic context matters when evaluating a night like this. I don’t care if he’s 13 years old, it’s sort of a bad game 😂
