  1. Can we please get subtitles for the French Q&A portions of the interviews? Would love to see subtitles for Victor’s and the interviewers native language.

  2. That first question about what he meant by ethical basketball just put out all those speculations about him taking a hit on OKC. He was just talking about team basketball and I think the word 'ethical' is a direct translation from French which can mean a bit differently in English. I don't think he cares about any rivalries, personal or specific teams. He cares more about what kind of basketball he and his team are playing.

  3. FC Translation on the job :

Q: Hello Victor, you spoke recently about 'ethical basketball', can you develop your thoughts on this ?
A: Yes, of course. It's a bit abstract, but we see in modern basketball a lot of basketball plays where if there isn't 5 players invested in the system, the danger doesn't come from everywhere. And that's not our case. For example, we don't play a lot of iso, our 5 players on the court are a constant threat. I think we can describe this basketball as 'oldschool'. I know it's abstract, but that's my opinion.

Q: If I can go back on your words quickly, you want to be MVP, it often goes by having huge individual performances, so how do you maintain balance between those 2 visions of basketball ? (the journalist talks about vic's previous answer, with the '5-men oldschool' basketball vs having big solo perfs)
A: I don't think it's something that hard to do because, in my opinion, it's good teamplay perfs that allow you to do good individual perfs. So, for me, the best player in the world makes his team win before all.

Q: If I remember correctly, last year the bucks didn't celebrate their win at all. After their game they went straight back home. Two years ago, with the lakers it's was the complete opposite, they 'blew up the champagne' (french expression to say they partied hard). How do you personally see this, if you win. Is this the kind of win you gotta celebrate until the last minute ?
A: Nah, If I had to choose, with what you said, I'd rather do like the bucks. Because we're only in the middle of the season ; it's not that this win wouldn't mean anything, but it's not that big of a deal either to win this tournament. So yeah, we have to stay humble. It's the same as how we wouldn't celebrate a play-off series, so yeah if we win we won 'blow up the champagne' (they won't party hard) tomorrow night.

  4. So the whole thing about all being diss on OKC style of play is cleared up… the media was really stretching his quotes. Not a surprise. And he clearly respects OKC as he said they are in a different tier than his team. Media been trying to start BS narrative. Let's go Wemby get that W tomorrow!

  5. He's best player in the NBA, no doubt. The dub should be easy against the Knicks. You guys need to start adding subs to the French stuff.

  6. Let's go in with the same intensity as OKC.. every team is OKC moving forward.. don't underestimate NYK

  7. That reporter that said he dropped 60 on the Knicks was a premonition, okc was a tougher team for wemby hes gonna like the Knicks up with 60

  8. 😅 First question : c'est quoi le "basket éthique" selon toi ?
Second question : what is "ethical basketball" for you ?
I mean come on, i know u american can understand french better than that 😂

  9. Please go see those monks every summer. Next year he’ll come back more enlightened and super sayan.
