Other teams' reporters wile out like this every year. It's so annoying. Hurts our locker room, even tho none of it is realistic. Chicago has no incentive to make that trade at the deadline– they should be selling this season and waiting for the summer to do any buying. Lakers fans as usual are delusional thinking they can get Herb Jones. They probably can't even get Keon Ellis. It's all clickbait. Trey Murphy deals aren't worth discussing, low key piss me off.
I agree on Jose. Unless someone will give up more than that package, it's too good to say no. MOSTLY because we'd be doing the right thing by Jose sending him home to chase a ring. If he has a big playoffs, he could get a BAG, and we should ALL want that for Jose after all he's done for us as fans.
Looney is a good trade piece for someone trying to cut their tax bill this year and/or next. We can take back up to $11.5M (and a pick) for him and still stay under the first apron (we're $3.6M away). MIN for Conley would save them a few Ms but they still don't duck the apron. Boston is $4M over so if they move Simons we could potentially help them get under as a third team. LAL for Kleber or Vincent?
It's better for the young kids to finish the year w continuity, stability, and mentorship while giving the vets a chance to win together. The team has had a reputation for being volatile for too long. That's not good for anyone. Unless somebody like Miami blows us away for Zion, we should just get to 30+ wins- maybe even chase that 10 seed since our '26 schedule is way easier- see how the guys play together since 12 of the 15 are under contract next year, and what happens in the summer happens in the summer.
They had plenty of players way more accomplished than Zion without a injury history like his that have came off the bench after an injury. I know you hate Zion but you’re going too far. I like what you’re saying, but I feel like this team is good enough to make the play in, we don’t have a pick so we have no choice but to let this play out right now I think the team is trying to see if we can stack some wins by All-Star break. I don’t think New Orleans has thrown in the towel just yet this next month will determine that.
We don’t want nothing in Chicago got before I take them trash players. I’ll just cut Zion come on Mel’s I don’t get personal. I’m in New Orleans whatever make my team great that’s what I’m rolling with Zion is our best player still no matter how you like it on a friendly contract. I like how you recovery from an injuries and we’ll see if it continues.

I made a trade on Fanspo where u trade him to Denver for Darron Holmes II and a 2026 FRP. The NYK trade might be better cause that Alvardo energy in the garden would be electric and im pre sure hes from there. Im curious to see what happens tho

Good video as always! Mel I love the channel but you have to stop hiding behind the organization when it comes to Jose. We know you think the Pels wont pay him but you also think the team should trade him. I strongly disagree but thats perfectly fine just stand on it is all.
A 1st rounder is tempting but if the Pels are in win-now mode, its not going to do much. If they trade Jose, then they have to trade Herb and Zion so they can tank
This team is bout to go on a run if they keep them together! They are finally getting healthy and will other teams in the west are falling. But i definitely want to trade Missi. Karlo is just so much better.
I don't think they have found their final starting lineup. If you notice the starting lineup for the Chicago game was not the closing lineup for the game.
Zion and Poole in particular ended up playing more minutes than some of the starters and they closed the game.
One the major issues with why the Pels were losing some of their games was end game execution.
When those two were out you even saw Jose closing games which wasn't optimal.
I think Poole and Zion will come in of off the bench for awhile but the truth is they bring a level of skill that some of the starters don't. Even if they don't start, you'll see them playing more minutes and being needed to close games and will eventually make their way back to the starting lineup.

Zion is the face of the Pelicans brother. The national media is not gonna show no one else love…the Bulls game for example… Fears hooped Trey hooped…but all they showed was Zion on NBA Today…We love Trey here but the world loves Zion.. when people come to the games from other cities not around here… they may say Trey Murphy is pretty good… but people come to see Zion!

98% of NBA observers think the Pelicans' purpose is to develop players and then trade them to an East or West Coast team.
Sell Zion to the first SUCKER who makes a descent offer.
I doubt anyone gets traded. Maybe Looney, maybe Hawkins. But who wants them? We can argue whether or not Zion should be traded but everyone else on the roster is full of upside and already better than anyone you may get back. "Pelicans are trash" but everyone wants the players on their team. I'd hate to see Jose leave. Im a fan and he seems to be a big part of Queens development.
