Why Fouling Up 3 Actually WINS Games: Spurs vs Thunder Breakdown
This Spurs-Thunder finish perfectly shows why fouling up 3 is the right call! Mitch Johnson learned from Pop’s mistakes and took the smart foul with 8 seconds left. Yes, Chet missed the first free throw, but that’s exactly why the strategy works – you force them to execute under pressure instead of letting them run a perfect play for a wide-open three.
The Caruso miracle shot at the end was incredible, but notice how the refs let them play – that’s textbook “hand is part of the ball” contact. Sometimes you just tip your cap to great execution.
Wemby’s celebration says it all – this young Spurs team is learning how to win the right way! 🏀

The only time I seen this back fire was when the thunder Caruso* fouled the nuggets up 3 BUT jokic was off the floor then Aaron Gordon came down and hit the game winner. That was really head scratching because I know Caruso is smarter than that
It should be 1ft +posession in that scenario
ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS FOUL UP 3‼️‼️‼️IF THEY HIT A CRAZY SHOT TO TIE THE GAME & WIN IN OVERTIME ITS ONE OF THE MOST FRUSTRATING WAYS TO LOSE IN ALL OF BASKETBALL💯💔
