Raptors end losing streak against Miami – Defense fired up! | Postgame Live Analysis
The Toronto Raptors are back in action, and slowly on the mend as they take on the slumping Miami Heat. The Raptors last won in Miami nearly 3 years ago, and have a 7-9 record vs. the Heat over the past 4 years.
The Raptors are 15-11 and the Heat, who started out hella strong are now 14-11. Both teams lost their opening round in the NBA Cup, and are now watching the final from home as the Spurs take on the Knicks in the final. The Heat are healthy, at least healthier than they’ve been in a while. And former Raptors Davion Mitchell and Norman Powell will be a LOAD for Toronto’s backcourt.

Ayeeee
Hey Rob as always I'm super impressed by your postgame analysis. I'm honestly shocked raptors YouTube hasn't reached out for a colab yet because you are so far above anything their channel offers rn
I've been saying the same thing about gradey last year, he's unplayable unless he's an topend marksman. Hence why I wanted to trade him and our 1st round pick for Kon in the draft – that ships clearly sailed
27:00 – CMB wasn't testing Bam, he was testing the Heat bench. Look how excited they were.
56:26 – isn't that part of playing mind games with the opposition?
1:00:21 – rookie year, when all the starters played 50+ minutes. Scottie sent the game into OT with free throws.
I feel like the only hope for gradey at this point is to sit in the corner or just be a kick out option only. He needs to find his shot before they ask him to be a cutter and someone who puts the ball on the floor. Obviously not comparing him to klay whatsoever, but you can still be an effective player without having to dribble. Klay could drop 25 on any given night and dribble the ball 2 times the whole game. (Obviously klay was a very good defender and gradey isn't)
Last year when he was on a heater he did a lot of quick dribble into a shot, his floater sucks. I don't want to see him do anything offensively other than catch and shoot, and maybe two dribbles into a pull up. He's average or below average at everything right now, they need to focus his development on shooting and defending/switching on d . I don't wanna see him driving or cutting until his 3 point shot is water.
As far as I'm concerned he can work on the cutting and driving next year or down the line , become really good at one or two things to start and then go from there.
Side note : WWE and mlse signed a partnership about a month ago
From sportsnet :
The Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors are going inside the ropes.
Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, which owns both clubs in addition to the Toronto Argonauts, Toronto FC and Toronto Marlies, announced a strategic partnership with WWE on Wednesday (Rogers Communications Inc., owner of Sportsnet, has a 75-per-cent stake in MLSE).
The agreement includes the return of Monday Night Raw to Toronto on Jan. 26, at which some of the city's sports personalities will be in attendance. WWE stars will attend Maple Leafs games both the night before and after.
Hello and welcome out here deleting comments Lmaoo .
This is why I hate those guys. I wasn't swearing, wasn't attacking Fred, just breaking down some of the things he said and they deleted it twice now lmao.
Like I said until u move IQ and RJ off this team, it won't matter, I've seen enough 2 know basketball that u can win with these kind of guys. IQ might of had the stats, honestly he was trash.
As for the game, it's good win, they held team under 100 pts 👏. Thank u.🙏
Pen would you rather have Jakobe or Knecht?
I think Jamal Shead is the player to watch here. He understands what needs to be done and is doing it, with skill. Hopefully he stays away from injury with his Spud Webb leaping ability.
Yet another game that I feel the refs tried hard to hand the win to our opponent. Our players get no damn respect. Second, the Raptors coaches need to prepare their players better for zone defences. That is especially Coach Spo's go to move against runs. When we see it, we are like a deer caught in the headlights…which then allows our opponents to go on crazy scoring runs. Every player on the Raptors needs to be comfortable seeing those and know where to be on the floor to defeat it. I'm happy for this unexpected win. Go Raptors!
1:10:26 We were right all long. Scottie and OG (and the rest of the young guys) were sick of the Fred+pascal iso play and “leadership” style
No shit this horrible ass channel has like 3 subscribers because u say dumb shit like coop isn’t generational even tho he is and he’s been doing generational shit his whole basketball career… if only everybody’s name was Scottie Barnes’s maybe they could get a handjob from u too… Scottie avg 19 5&8 @ 24 and coop averaging that shit at 18 while mostly being the vocal point of this offense with the injury’s they have. Ur takes sucks please talk less and listen more on players choice everybody will be happier
