Baskonia protected its home floor once again, downing Monaco 85-73 on Wednesday night. It is Baskonia’s sixth straight home win to improve to a 6-10 record, while Monaco dropped to 9-7. Baskonia led by as many as 16 points early in the third quarter, when Monaco responded with a 0-14 run to get within 2 points. But Baskonia quickly restored the margin to double digits, then had a reply any time Monaco tried to make a run.

Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot was Baskonia’s top scorer with 19 points, but it was Trent Forrest who led the way with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Markus Howard and Gytis Radzevicius each added 12 points in a win. Mike James has 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in a losing effort.
