  1. I have a deep respect and fondness for Melo now that I never really felt when he was a Nug (Nuggets fan since the Thompson era in the 70s). Of course I was blind to the truth of who George Karl was as a coach and a man. It is sickening to look back at Melo's years in Denver and realize that if ownership hadn't been so feckless and got a better fit as a coach we probably would have had a chip long before Jokic and company got us there.
