This interview is confusing to me. Sengun saying they couldn’t get an option and get to the basket may be true but in that case, get the ball back to KD on motion. He called his number way too many times. Made some questionable passes, tried to go at Derik Queen who made him take tough twos all game. Sometimes when KD gives the ball up out of the double, doesn’t mean he can’t get the ball back. If he passes out the double, teams typically scramble to get back to their player. Which once again, leaves KD covered by a single person. Get the ball back to your scorer who was shooting 80% and 100% on FTs. This is the second game in a row where Sengun called his number and took some very low IQ shots. On top of that, his defense was awful. The news is out.. just keep going at Sengun. He’s too slow and can’t clean up the glass without Adam’s being in the game. Game would’ve been totally different if Reed could’ve been in for spacing purposes in the last few minutes but because Sengun and Jabari can’t get those key rebounds on the defensive end, Adam’s had to be in. Sengun is def a star and has played great overall but these last few games since he’s came back from illness have been bad.
You’re a ball hog. You should just be down on the blocks waiting for an entry pass. Once you get 5 feet from the basket, your shot percentage plummets.
