Yesterday, they gave up 80pts at the half against the Hornets and in this game they gave up almost 70pts! It doesn’t take an NBA genius to deduce that they have a coaching problem. Quinn totally out coached by a very young head coach once again. It has happened far too many times this season.
The Hawks badly need a defensive anchor. That should be the focus at the deadline. Not necessarily a superstar but a 5 who is a game-changing defender.
This is probably my favorite podcast you’ve done, thank you for being at list a tiny bit glim and negative because that’s how we feel right now, we are sad and mad and it felt nice to hear this, though I’ll never understand the “it’s 1 of 82” comment cause for example last season a gsme separated the hawks from the 7th and 8th seed and they probably would’ve made the playoffs, this season what if they are the 7th seed and only a game back from 5, then the 1 game really really mattered, so every game matters and we should treat it like that
I am CONCERNED about young Risacher. He is the first overall pick and he’s playing garbage time against scrubs and barely able to make an impact. Idk if it’s a typical sophomore slump but he just doesn’t look like a starting SF for a team with playoff aspirations.
Jalens defense has been flat out unacceptable. Mosley, Bickerstaff, Udoka would not accept this kind of effort no matter how good of numbers you put up. Hard defense/hustle is apart of culture and Quin has failed to establish that culture. Most of our defensive energy stims from Nickeil.

While Okongwu has improved he’s proven that he’s a quality back up center or starting PF. We are still missing a true center. I was hoping for an Ayton trade last year didn’t happen zingis happened but he barely plays. Let’s see what happens at the deadline. Should they go get a Nick Richards idk

At HOME especially..where we SUCK…this year!Just imagine what a real NBA interior STUD would do/mean for us!! ANYONE who wouldn't want to trade for Giannis…if available…has NO CLUE! PELS are looking much better lately…everyones..hopes and dreams are based on that pick… Brad..you yourself said that you would LEAN "NO".. right now giving up that pick for him! He's exactly what we need…not just talent wise but ATTITUDE wise for the entire team would DRASTICALLY change!!! It's just 1 game..but the EAST is GETTABLE….fingers crossed that the BUCKS continue sliding and Giannis wants out! WE are the only path for the Bucks if they want to TANK…and if they trade Giannis…that is exactly what they should do…TRADE with the HAWKS!!!! TRAE/PORZ/ZACCH…and a picks package in a 3 or 4 team deal!! NOBODY takes us seriously…until a certain player …walks thru that door. When it's all said and done..the percentage of that PELS/BUCKS pick will end up 7-9….not 1-4…Just going by the REAL percentages when it's all said and done! That pick is VALUABLE because of it's potential…PRE-lottery…not necessarily POST-lottery!
