Hi Samson, I was curious about something regarding Scottie’s defence, I’m not smart enough to tell, but do you feel that he has changed something with his mechanics when going for blocks? Or perhaps he’s just changed the approach for when he actually decides to go for them? It just seems to me from the eye test that something has physically changed about his blocking this year, like dude can see into the future; sometimes it seems like he’s jumping for the block before the offensive player even knows they’re going for the shot. Great pod as always.
When he get double team. Quills and dick can hit the wide open 3
Perhaps my favourite guest to come on the pod. Love it!
I would trade Scottie, Jakob, Gradey, Jakobe. 4
Johnson, Alexander Walker , Okangwu, Asa Newell.
Or 4
Porzingis, Johnson, Daniels, Asa Newell
No more live pods😢
Scottie Barnes is not the raptors best player stop saying that bull shit he’s the raptors best defender that’s it
Ingram is the best player it's obvious he leads the nba in minutes for a reason because as soon as he's on the bench the team can't do anything
Samson found a man to trade metaphors and analogies with
I am not a LaMelo fan at all but I am very much done with the Quickley experiment. Would like him as a 6th man on a team but the backcourt is where this team needs to take a step. CMB and Quick for Melo? I would think about it but I really be trying to find a way to keep CMB. Will Melo ever mature or stay healthy? That’s a gamble but his fully realized skill set would take the Raps to the next level
Been saying this from start, lamello gets this team to the finals
Raptors need to trade Quickley + Agbaji and picks for LeMelo + Plumlee which would solve their starting PG and backup center positions. They would have a much higher ceiling making that trade and keeping RJ.
I think Ingram’s playmaking has suffered because they go to him so late in the clock. He gets the ball and either has to take a shot or make a play that leads to an immediate shot. He never has the option to reset if there’s nothing there. That’s why IQ is so sht as a pg. He walks the ball up, stands still dribbling at the top of the floor, and finally tosses a grenade to Ingram with 6 seconds on the clock. And then everyone says – look, IQ got a great as/to ratio. He’s making the safest play possible for himself but completely fking the offense for everyone else, especially IQ.
IQ should run the ball up and get the offense into an action asap, get off the ball right away and relocate.
I was super pro IQ guy but im done with him unless he unexpectedly breaks out like Coby White. Throw IQ and Gradey plus picks for Lamelo. I think that will be franchise changing trade.
