Good rant Ben! It is so frustrating when the problems are so out there but not being addressed. I almost turned the game off when I saw that Poeltl and Barret were still out, that Agbaji was starting and that none of the 2-ways were brought up (905 doesn't play again until the 27th). And so the Raps lost another one that they did not need to.
Wake up Bobby and Darko! We have too many unreliable players:
1) POELTL, not his fault he is injured but we haven't been able to count on him since preseason. Get a 2nd centre NOW. In the short term sign a top G leaguer like Moses Brown (Has NBA experience) or Jamarion Sharp (7'5). Then get on with a trade. Would not be bad if we ended up with 2 reliable centres.
2) IQ, too up and down. Does not justify his salary on a regular basis. Can we trade him for a less expensive PG that makes good decisions and gives us a dozen points and a bunch of assists game in and game out?
3,4,5) AGBAJI, WALTER AND DICK. After 29 games they still can't be counted on to contribute significantly. It is time to accept that there is no magic is on the way. In the short term bring up Lawson, Martin and Hepburn and give them a real chance to earn rotation spots. Maybe not 30 games like Agbaji, Dick and Walter but meaningful minutes for several games. In the long term, trade A, D and W to help get a Big or two and hope the Barret is back soon.
So Bobby and Darko let's make some changes now, now, now and get on with winning.
that's what happens drafting or acquiring players that don't have high 2 way potential, getting a good centre will be very costly and won't make them championship contender.

In their defence, they did draft two centers that could have filled out the front court. They both developed non-basketball related health conditions that took them out of their deveopment paths. It's not like they didn't recognize this as a need.
Raptors could have draft Derek Queen. Raptors could have signed vet minimum free agent centers like Thomas Bryant, Bol Bol, or James Wiseman. Or traded for Jay Huff (Memphis to Pacers for 2029 SRP) this past summer. They instead brought in Mamu – a face up PF, as the backup center. The Raptors went with Poeltl, Mamu (6'9 barefoot), CMB (6'6 barefoot), Mogbo (6'6 barefoot) as their center depth. Bobby Webster is self sabotaging the Raptors chances of winning this season due to his befuddling roster construction.
Some current backup names available for potential trades include Nick Richards, Day'Ron Sharpe, and Brook Lopez.
