The Bulls need a top 5 pick to make progress. It's as simple as that. You can't count on getting one by winning 36 games and reducing your lottery odds.

Nobody wants to see them lose as a fan , but I think everybody understands that these wins mean nothing because we’re not winning anything significant,they could win 10 games in a row but it’s not an indication of this team being good enough to compete with top teams. They will just get destroyed by OkC San Antonio Detroit etc.

Tanking is not the answer. So much has to go right in order for that to work. The lottery has to go your way, and you have to pick the right player. Franchise players are not always in the draft. The year we got Buzelis, who was the franchise guy that year? In 2023, other than Wemby, who was in the top 5? So in the past 3 drafts, there have only been three guys you would call a franchise player, Flagg Wemby and Kon Knueppel. They traded for Giddey, and they drafted Buzelis at number 11. Get creative and make trades draft well. Tanking is for losers.

Owner ship has only paid into the luxury tax twice in franchise history, reinsdorf also owns the white sox but has only paid out one long term contract over 100 million for both franchises combined and that was zach lavine, so enjoy bulls basketball but they will never win with this owner and its by design
