Joker lost the game with his careless needless throwaways…
Mavs also on their back to back and they brought the energy. Denver slept walked the first half, Adelman is not the guy to hold players accountable.

Jokic's lack of effort on defense was embarrassing. AGAIN. Spare me the nonsense about how he's the greatest player on the planet. He's one of the best OFFENSIVE players on the planet, but basketball is a two-way game. He was embarrassed by Flagg repeatedly. The poster dunk on Spencer Jones wasn't Jones' fault it was Jokic's pathetic lack of effort, watching him dribble straight by to the rim without even a hint of effort to move his feet and get cut off the driving lane. Jones was just trying to rotate over and give weak side help. SHAMEFUL and EMBARRASSING lack of leadership and effort from Jokic.
Even though there are 4 guys around him, Jokic should be shooting that. At minimum it's a foul with 2 free throws
As much as I love Jokic, that was the wrong play. Payton might be 50% on corner 3s this season, still doesn't make him a reliable shooter, especially not for a game winning shot when he has 0 made shots for the entire game. Jok either should have shot that himself or passed it to Tim Hardaway Jr on the other corner. Tim is a much better shooter and was having a good shooting night, so even if he missed, it would still be the right play.
