Detroit Pistons Get 24th Win After Beating Sacramento Kings | Detroit At RISK of Blowing More Leads

Detroit Pistons surge to 2-0 on their western road trip after outlasting the Sacramento Kings, but fourth-quarter slippage raises questions about their late-game focus. Can Cade Cunningham and company tighten up their execution and maintain their reputation as one of the NBA’s best clutch teams?

Ku Khahil spotlights aggressive play from Ausar Thompson, Isaiah Stewart, and Jalen Duren that’s elevating the Pistons’ top-10 offense and relentless possession battles on the glass. The podcast breaks down Detroit’s evolving offensive arsenal, Stewart’s dramatic improvement finishing at the rim, and key trends in late-game defense. Plus, the ongoing saga of Jaden Ivey’s minutes—with revealing comments from JB Bickerstaff—adds intrigue to the Pistons’ rotation decisions. Will maintaining this aggression unlock new heights for Detroit, or could lineup tension disrupt their momentum?

  1. Ha, YT is suggesting to me the Locked on Sacramento cause of the Pistons and the title is "the Pistons are everything the Kings want to be"

  2. Cade is too reckless but he’s seeing 2 bodies and duren doesn’t have the awareness to flash open, he’s funneling cade to throw contested passes.

  3. They need to give somebody a rest or put Duncan Robinson on the bench like he's supposed to be doesn't mean he can't still play 25-28 minutes or whatever and see how ivey does if he seems Rusty playing 20 plus minutes you can put him right back on the bench 🤷

  4. I actually agree with Ku's take on JB playing Ivey. It's JB's decision to play Levert more than Ivey. I think it's the wrong decision because at this point Vert is a known bench player and Ivey has more raw potential. Let the young guy play through his mistakes and get better.

  5. Ku I am not talking about a specific player or type mod trade but as a team what areas do you think they need to improve in to be on the Thunder’s level? That would be a good topic.

  6. Ausars ball handling this year improved so much which is huge but If Ausar can develop good touch around the rim he will be such a weapon. Thats his offseason priority. His touch around rim/ finishing ability is still so bad. I love Ausar but if he can actually get good there it’ll be game over.

  7. I think the Pistons 4th quarter woes comes from them trying to milk the clock when they have a comfortable lead, but whenever they do that, they get lazy and careless; causing opposing teams to surge

  8. I recently read a post on a different feed that provided a plausible explanation for keeping the training wheels on Ivey. The poster did a comparative analysis of how the Bulls rushed Derrick Rose back, which only lead to reoccurring problems. After multiple injuries, Rose was a shell of himself by his 4th year.

  9. I think the Ivey situation is getting overblown from both directions. Basically Bickerstaff likes how things are rolling and doesnt feel pressure to rush Ivey into a bigger role. He is slow rolling it until Ivey's rhythm and confidence is back to 100% and then will likely get more opportunities and eventually start imo. I dont think this has anything to do with Bickerstaff not liking Ivey or anything. He just is comfortable and winning and when Ivey is proving himself more and more then Bickerstaff will eventually get confident playing him more. That's all imo. Ivey has looked sharper and sharper as the games go on. His time will come. Everyone needs to chill, myself included.

  10. I love my Pistons but they are not good enough yet to have the mindset to play with their food and yet they do. That's something that I'm worried about because their goal should be to play as well as they possibly can for all 4 quarters to ascend to a level they clearly not on yet. But they take their foot of the gas and allow teams to get back in the game, it's frustrating.

  11. Ku Ku remember January 1st when Ausar T was put in the starting lineup, same thing with Jaden Ivy.JB is hurting us right playing Duncan R and Caris L down the stretch

  12. Hope Ausar will maintain this level of aggression on offense from here on out. Adds another dimension to this team thats going to make us even better. Love it when he hits those short jump shots

  13. 1st Listen. I'm damn sho proud of this team. It's my Birthday today and what better way to celebrate it than seeing my Pistons doing well. Great show Ku and go Pistons!! Happy Holidays to all you guys on here. Word up!!
