I don't understand how people think that the Bucks will do a straight trade of Giannis for KAT? The Bucks will gut this team. Are you willing to give up KAT, OG, and possibly Duce? This team with its core went to the ECF last year, and this year the Knicks are one of three to four teams that have 20 wins. Giannis is great but it doesn't mean success if we get rid of an all star (KAT), role player(s) (OG) and bench depth (Duce), for ONE player. I'd rather take my chances with this roster.

We have built chemistry, we are learning this new offense, we are playing well, why mess that up when we have a chance to take the East while key players are out on other teams? As much as people talk about KAT he is a threat at the 3 point line which helps us stretch the floor. We trade KAT we will see doubling up on Brunson much more slowing down our offense. Giannis is a good player but he just doesn’t fit this offensive scheme which seems to be working for us. You don’t need the perfect players you just need the right players and KAT is the right player for this offense.

Trading for Giannis at the trade deadline, will lower the Knicks' chances of winning a championship to zero percent. The Knicks would have to gut the roster, trading away key/core players. It would not be a smart move, better to wait for the off-season.
