He definitely has earned his minutes from now on. He plays hard defensively like Deuce, better passer and floor management than Deuce, but Deuce is a better shooter. So, the Knicks’ bench in the backcourt is now very good with TY, DM, LS, and JC, different combinations of offense and defense abilities. Knicks still needs a solid backup for the 4th/5th position, too bad that YB didn’t work out, but there’s time before the trade deadline. Remember OG was traded right before the deadline 2 years ago.

Tyler's being ready to go through the doorway of opportunity once it was opened is now paying off for him. I am so happy for him. As his confidence improves, so, too, will the Knicks. Kolek belongs on this NY Knicks team, and, hopefully, such will be the case for him for many years.

From training camp Jalen kept saying this kid was ready to be in the rotation. Jalen believed in him when many were still wondering if he could be a good NBA player. The biggest questions were 3 pt shooting and defense. He has answered both those questions in the affirmative!

There’s something contagious about his passes; & obviously not just in the highlight package but in nearly every single game & play, he always hits guys on time; as a player there’s something to that flow, the second you think your open or in a great spot & the ball is always there; in his start the other day he struggled early because the starters are used to Brunson & aren’t used to getting the ball & cost them some turnovers; also that exposed a major Flaw in his game where TK can’t finish anything on the right; & he needs to learn more of Jalen’s finishes before playoff time cause teams like Indy will figure that out & exploit it.
