In this video, I explain through film how Trayce Jackson-Davis has way more impact at center for the Golden State Warriors than Draymond Green does at this juncture of his career, and how Steve Kerr continues to go to an unreliable tiny lineup in key situations instead of simply smartening up, listening to Draymond when he says he doesn’t want to be at center, and just going to bigger lineups in general.

  1. The Warriors are most definitely better off closing games with either Trayce or Post at C than Draymond at this point in his career. It's becoming very clear that Draymond is the fastest to show a decline with age despite being the youngest of the older crowd. When this happens, it must quickly be identified rather than being stubborn and doing the same thing for too long. Failure to adjust timelly will ultimately make the team suffer

  2. Speaking of how NBA office "loves GSW," what's wrong with the schedule? At the beginning of the season, they played back-to-back after back-to-back, and now they're taking 3-4 days off between each game?

  3. I'm not holding my breath because Kerr is a stubborn idiot. He will go back to the 4 guard lineup and mess this up again.

  4. This is comical! Moody has been Mounds better than Melton defensively… I’ve watched Melton get cooked time after time on the perimeter. Is this just revisionist history??

  5. I still say the offense should run thru Butler and not Green.Butler would be a double threat,as a scorer and that opens up his passing game.Santos is an impact player that has changed the flow of the game when he enters the game.He rebounds, plays defense,is high energy and has improved his offensive game,25 mpg should be the least he plays.

  6. Last season when TJD was playing like i remember he was a double double machine ready to happen. We would lead in games when he was on the floor, but then kerr would go small and the opposing team would fight their way back. Then he just stopped playing him altogether when Post emerged. Thats why i roll my eyes at this organization they have pieces but Kerr is not a person who does well with bigs. Kerr litterally cripples one of the most important positions TODAY by not playing them, and when they're being DNP'd and not getting PT , and they have one random moment to prove themselves if they suck he's validated for not playing them, but if they're really good they still won't get enough time if any next game. It's a lose lose situation, Getting gafford Helps KERR because Gafford has years in the league he's a vet which means easier to coach.

    Gui
    TJD

Need to be on the floor, they should've been going through these battles wins and losses so they can become more expieriences and more comfortable in these matchups. Ker periodically giving them 1 game and then next time they're not playing for 10+ games or being DNPd doesn't help they're development. I said the same thing with Moody and JK years ago when kerr was playing ty jerome and other g leaguers ahead of those 2. You got let our 2 lottery picks get PT if you don't they will never be ready.

Let take our lumps now with playing with more size involving Post, TJD and Gui, will be better off in the long run.

  7. Great video as always but i still vehemently disagree with the number of players in rotation faux rule. Its arbrtrary and there isnt any data supporting the "rotation limit" hypothesis. Play who you need its that simple nothing more nothing less. Sometimes thats 7 guys sometimes thats 12

The game has evolved overnight. Game is too intense and teams are too deep to play 7-9 guys for 82 games 10-12 is going to be the standard from here on out as literally every franchise has dudes who the fans cry about needing more PT

    Curry
    Seth
    Melton
    Jimmy
    Santos
    Draymond
    Post
    Moody
    Richard

Thats 9 guys already who can contribute. So Pods, Pat Spencer Horford, GP2, and for the non-haters, Kuminga, are all dudes who can also provide value.

Coaches in the new NBA are going to have to figure out how to get value out of more guys

  8. Your talking about dra is right on. But now he’s gone. Good. But we got another guard. Oops. Good one to be sure. But his minutes when he gets them will be affecting the entire rotation in my opinion in a negative way.

  9. Last night was the closest thing i have seen to realistic line ups we have put out on the court. TJD was husltling out there

  10. Dinkleberg! I was there at the game yesterday and was glad we were up in points throughout the game. Merry Christmas 🎄Jim and everyone!

  11. Jim, have you tried sending any of these great commentaries you generate on Warrior lineup issues to the Warriors' front office? I don't know why they continue to pay Steve Kerr the largest NBA coach's salary to handicap our team for the past 4 years! He is constantly playing 3 and 4 guard lineups allowing teams smart enough to take advantage of the stupidity of our coaching staff. Steve Kerr has cost our team most all the losses so far this year that is for sure. Or, do you think the front office is in on the sabotage and getting paid under the table to do so? If Kerr has given up claiming our dynasty is dwindling, he certainly will be blind to his own cause for all the losses. Why overpay for a head coach who is DONE and satisfied with no passion to win games anymore? If he is satisfied with all the championships in the past and has no fire left, or maybe never had the wisdom and only benefited from great players that carried him into championships, why won't the front office just let him go? I see Steve Kerr isn't much of a teacher of the game. He had no idea what to do with the raw athleticism of a Kuminga who has a self-destroying victim mentality, low basketball IQ, and a history of unteachable hubris. He needs a coach to humble him and teach him. Butler was a good team leader taking Kuminga under his wing, but that didn't last since Kuminga has a lot of bad habits that need to be disciplined out of him with a solid coach. willing to address his areas of growth he needs to address. Kerr is not capable of teaching Kuminga with discipline. He cannot deal with the awful mindset that handicaps him from becoming a solid NBA player. Kerr has proven he cannot manage difficult personalities well. A good leader gives out consequences for poor play, turnovers, bad shot selections, poor spacing, and lack of effort on team defense, rebounding, etc. Kerr is biased toward seniority instead of coaching players consistently, as a good leader should, regardless of players' past performances. Green demands to be our point guard, and he sucks at that position; it is so obvious. He is a good passer AS A POWER FORWARD, from that position, yes, but that does NOT translate into being a POINT GUARD! Hello? And I disagree with you, Green should not be spotting up on the arc, as in ever. He should just set screens, roll, and when he gets the ball, look to drive and dish the ball to cutters. That is what he is good at on offense. His main role is bringing great one-on-one and help-defense, leading our team on the defensive end of the floor. That is his role, period. Boring for Green? Yeah, maybe, but his label as a "good passer" does not mean he should be our point guard since he picks up his dribble before he has a definite pass, something kids in high school are taught is a bad decision as a point guard. He turns the ball over constantly, and if you slow down and watch him dribble the ball up the floor, you can see his form lacks fundamentals. He dribbles the ball too high and often loses control of the ball with that high dribble, because HE IS NOT A POINT GUARD! Duh! Also, if Steve Kerr has no fire left to win championships, something he let the world in on recently, then why leave him at the helm? Our Warriors organization is too stupid to notice that these glaring issues are from bad coaching. Why continue to overpay a guy who does not know how to balance the floor with a quality CENTER, POWER FORWARD, SMALL FORWARD, SHOOTING GUARD, and POINT GUARD with a least one POA on the floor at all times? Kerr does not respect positions and thinks playing 3 and 4 guard lineups with one power forward, or center, is a good idea. What a moronic idea, playing 4 guards, thinking that is a good idea. I still say Kerr is fascinated by watching smaller guards (something he played his NBA career) and will handicap our team playing players that play his old position out of position to the detriment of our team. He is the stupidest coach I have ever witnessed in the NBA. GET RID OF STEVE KERR, and we will see the last few years of the best basketball player in the NBA, Steph Curry, play balanced, "MEANINGFUL BASKETBALL" that he wants and deserves, given the amount of effort and energy he has left in his tank at his age. Why Curry does not meet privately with the front office of the Warriors to demand a new coach is beyond me. Does Curry not realize that Coach Kerr is the BIG PROBLEM yet? Man, I wish we could play a balanced team on the floor for 48 minutes and see what that produces for our WARRIORS that deserve better leadership and coaching.

  12. Lob threat and gets BLOCKS like no other guy on the team. So many people don't realize we have some size and athleticism, because they're not played a whole lot. Easier buckets when shots aren't hitting. And then a guy like Gui brings more size and hustle, a AND can shoot/space the floor. We HAVE pieces!

  13. TJD was good in his first year with the GSW. Unfortunately, he has not had enough meningful playing minutes since joining the team. That said, he is an asset, and we will need him in the playoffs. Hopefully, Kerr will increase his minutes and give him the attention he deserves. The bigs are key to the Warriors' success this season, including Santos and Horford.

  14. Tjd out played looney and kerr buried him. Dumb fans sat there and cheered looney while he was killing this team for years. Destroying currys end of his prime. Now draymond is center and tjd is the better option again!! Fans that trash tjd and al but sat there for years glazing looney are worse then steve kerr

  15. I truly believe we are better then wat are recorded shows IF KERR STOP going small n Kerr u can spread Podz minutes around
