The TANK is in full gear!!!!!!!! Our reality this year!!!!
This was a truly pathetic game. The Knicks game was a perfect sampling of the season thus far and what is to come. And this type of egg-laying was predictable. Mathurin is losing money by the day. We are down by 11, and he's whispering sweet nothings in the ear of a player scorching the Pacers. Typical Mathurin. Talking crap to players like Jaden Ivey and tonight's players is doing him no good on balance.
I think the role player situation is even more frustrating when you see so many others stepping up across the league for other teams!
I also wonder if the changes in offensive officiating this year (players being allowed to initiate a lot of contact) have been detrimental to the pacers defense and personnel?
There are some Great players this Year in College Basketball. We have a chance to get A really good player on a rookie contract!!
All hopes are on getting a lucky roll in the NBA Draft and hoping no one has their finger on the scale for the larger market teams. A top 3 or 4 pick would be huge for Indiana.
Just a reminder that the last time we tanked we drafted Jarace
I already knew this was going to basically our season this year. Good draft year.
Tony, appreciate your perseverance in bringing positive energy to your podcast (while still keeping it real). Thoughts on shifting Furphy to the starting lineup and sliding Mathurin back to the 2 – original plan going into the year?
If Mathurin toe is still injured, why is he playing? Honest question. I’m guessing it’s an injury that “you can play thru”….. but if it’s keeping him from performing well, shouldn’t he heal? What am I missing??
Going to the game in Charlotte in a few weeks. They got back to back games in dc. Will be highlight of this season for me. Bring AJ home..
At this point I’m starting Furphy at the 3 to get him ready for his role next season
With so many players just thrown on the team with zero practice time how much does that contribute to our tanking record? James Wiseman and othes announced as part of the Pacers on the same day they take to the court. I believe Nemhhard addressed how difficult it is to play with unknown factors. Your thoughts?
Pelicans got hella depth i didn’t know Jordan Poole got traded there they finally starting to get healthy
I’m not sure I could tune into this season without Tony if I’m honest.
Maybe Jarace will be good next season. That sounds cynical I know but they don’t NEED him to be good this season. He just needs to get better and get experience. Yeah? Half glass full? Heh.
Nobody knows what they mean when they say “tank”
I’ve also thought the last few games that IJax has look good. He’s the best perimeter defender for the centers. And I thought he caught foul twice with no calls. So 🤷🏼♀️
I am concerned about Nembhard. I honestly don’t like his attitude, body language, facial expressions. I’m not blaming him. He’s asked to do a tonnnn, but I think he’s maybe hitting a wall or something. I don’t know, but it’s concerning. I just hope he stays healthy and hungry because he’s a championship piece.
If we are going to be this bad, why not limit Pascals minutes?
Dipping for Dybantsa! Aa will be back soon and could threaten the tank. Mathurin can sit to heal, but that may not be enough. It looks like we face a string of strong teams coming up, but three or four wins in a month could put us well out of contention.
Someone must tweak an ankle. Seems like Pascals turn.
If the Pacers would have come out with the same intensity they had against the Knicks, this would have been a win. I know tanking is the best option, but I still can't pull for a loss after watching this team make the Finals last year.
Tony I am not enjoying the CFP or the Pacers, but I am enjoying the Bears lol
The tank is on
I had them winning 43 games, obviously that is wrong! Lol New Orleans is a tough place for the Pacers, even the building gives off a strange vibe. They didn't look like the team who went toe to toe with the Knicks the other night. Lots of assault and battery in this one.
I don't understand where the Pacers are with their salary cap? It looks like they are 30 million over but only 21st in the league.
A healthy Haliburton is a top 5 NBA player. I have believed that since his stint around the time of 1st in-season tourney. You can run my old comments. This isn't a new believe. Any slumps were health related imo. Idk if he'll ever be the same but when fully healthy he was a top 5 player at least. When ppl say I'm nuts I say who was better in the Playoffs last year?
Wow
