  1. Another game of lost opportunities! When are the Nuggets going to get smart and get a veteran coach that knows how to coach their team down the stretch! Adelman looks like a deer in the headlights.Time to ditch the Adelman experiment he is not his dad!

  2. "But their bench got better"! Yeah there's a link between giving away MPJ for peanuts and now having awful clutch execution. What a bad, bad trade.

  3. How you do the little things is how you do everything… Jamal Murray throwing the heat pack was indicative of everything you need to know about him. It's not ancient history – it's there at the end of this game when he barely inbounds the basketball, almost loses it, then takes a bad shot instead of facilitating for anyone else on the floor. Those of us who know ball have been pointing out his flaws for years – no one seems interested in trying to correct them.

  4. Fuck the NBA. Intentionally make everything close for the tension, it's intentional and it sucks for the better team. I'm not reading a fantasy fiction book or watching a high stakes drama television show. Nuggets are 10x better than the Magic, but the refs can't pass up an opportunity to make a game close so Adam Silver can edge himself of the altar of the "e-sportsbook" Absolute shit product brought to you by Voldemort and his bitch ass league.

  5. Bruce Brown is ranked in the bottom 5% percentile in almost all impact metrics (basically waiver-level production). He scored 2 points tonight on 33% shooting and generated about 10+ points for the Magic by giving away easy fouls.

The way he is playing, it would be suicidal to give him any minutes in the playoffs. We are deep enough, and playoff rotations are shortened anyway.

He is also the only player outside of Zeke who has a negative net rating on the team while sharing a big chunk of minutes with Jokic.

I get it, DNVR won’t criticize him much because he’s too beloved, and he watches the show, so I don’t expect any objective judgment on him.

He is a liability on offense, a literal black hole on offense andd bad on defense.

  6. On one hand, we are missing 3 starters and we just came from a tough (but exciting!) win vs the Wolves two days ago. On the other, we are playing an average east team that is also missing some key players and we blew a 17 point lead. This is now the 4th or 5th inexcusable loss of the season. I might let the Dallas game slide, but that one should have been executed better down the stretch as well. As soon as Jokic leaves, the opposing teams start feasting, usually. Today was no exception. It's not just the stats that Jokic brings, it's how valuable he is. How many teams stutter as soon as their best player goes to the bench? We have a deep team this year, and we have seen how well everyone can play, but we have also seen the same crap that we have seen the last couple seasons, no clue on how to execute when the MVP leaves the floor. Even with a healthy squad I am nervous once he leaves (unless we are up 30). Too many TO's and points off of those TO's. Same thing happened vs Minnesota, but we were able to overcome all of that. Need to see these games through, there's no two ways about it. If you can play well enough to get double digit leads with 3 starters out, you have to play well enough to keep it going.

  7. Bruce brown’s inability to stop anyone from getting to the rim while providing close to nothing offensively is hard to watch. Too many bad fouls and with a guy like Bane, you would hope BB could slow him down but he continuously fouled him. I am hoping there is a trade on the way for a point guard who can play the PnR with Jonas or just give the reigns to Pickett cause BB has been bad

  8. Still love Big Val… guys around him didn’t move and didn’t rebound. Bruce Brown seems to be playing horrible compared to 2023… play Pickett.

  9. Murray makes $0.84 for each Jokic $1.00 but tonight his output was $0.48. Do the math!!! MURRAY = LOSS
Replace Murray with another 2nd bench that is as good as one with Cam, Val and the rest of minimum wager earners — who chose to play and win a chip with Jokic.

  10. U would think the way he has been shooting 3s last few games..Joker would attempt one at least..WTF

  11. Mistakes were made. And the misses cost them a lot. Jok had some easy misses too. Can't blame them too much after that Minnesota game. All is forgiven. ATNAG.

  12. 22-9 with three starters down, and some whiners already calling for Adelman to be fired. Guy is already a better coach than Malone. You just have to lose some games, that's it. It's basketball

  13. On the nuggets subreddit, there's a comment about how if you took SGA's 4 best games this season and said Jokic got that in a week, it'd look like an inefficient but high scoring week for him where he just couldn't get this team involved and had to try and force through a win. But if you took Jokic's 4 best games this season and said SGA got that in a week, it would be far and away the best 4 game stretch of SGA's career. That shows how insane Jokic is on a nightly basis this season.

He's somehow better than he was last year when we couldn't believe that he'd somehow gotten better than he had the year before when he blew our minds by being somehow better than he was during the Championship season.

  14. I'm not worried about the bench, this is not the bench…Big Val need to step up, it's not only the line up, it's him having worst stretch of the season. Also it doesn't matter BB is not a contributor, we are hurting now, but when we have couple more guys he can do the dirty work in the back round and you can hide his deficiencies…you couldn't do that with Westbrick, he was loud and he was negative no matter what

  15. 🎉🎉🎉 us see,,u can be polite and make negative points…hahahaha

  18. You can easily rest players against Brooklyn, why not?… they dont owe something to Mike.. he understands, and will meet again

  19. To think that today's problem with Denver has been Jonas shows a lack of understanding of basketball.

A center's performance depends 100% on what the team can generate for him. If the team plays with Jonas and four other players who are unable to generate offensive advantages for the center, he won't be able to do anything.

It's the same problem Denver has had in recent seasons when Nikola doesn't play. The problem isn't the backup center, but rather the lack of playmaking, since Nikola is also the main team's point guard. This season Murray is playing well as a point guard, but if neither he nor Nikola is on the court, then the team can't create offense.

Denver's bench has played horribly because no backup exterior player has been able to properly defend the perimeter or generate offense for themselves or the center.

Furthermore, the coach hasn't designed offensive plays to create scoring opportunities. If you know that none of your bench players can create one-on-one situations or have the basketball IQ to do so, then you need to design plays from the bench to help them generate open looks.

And that's without even considering that for many minutes four very small players and Jonas played against a fairly tall team, which made it difficult to grab rebounds, and also the small Denver players were unable to defend the perimeter. A very poor rotation, because you always need a forward playing. Whether he is Jones, PWatt, or Nanji.

Finally, it's worth noting that neither BB nor Julian are capable of defending the perimeter, and that's very important when you have centers who aren't mobile like Jonas or Nikola. Moreover, they are not able to play intelligently in attack and always make poor decisions.

  20. another one that doesnt really move me. we got it done on Christmas and were tired as hell going into this one. we’re still handily top 3 in the West standings. as deep as we are, we’re gonna drop some down 3 starters. everybody’s gonna feel real good when we embarass the Heat on Monday.

  21. i’d say respectfully Harrison obviously gotta talk about something but in terms of shifting rotations let’s relax. 1 point loss in a game where we got hoe’d badly by the refs the entire time. our guys are tired. honestly, dropping a couple more on this road trip wouldnt even bother me. love that the reserve guys are getting experience honestly.

  22. D-Line with the most measured (and accurate) takeaway IMO. one small difference and we’re celebrating their resilience in a win.

  23. “with the new depth” bro… theyve been injured!!! there hasnt been depth for Jokic to avg 34 mins a game…
