I’ve been saying for a while now that the lakers success will be determined by JJs rotations , if you look at the roster they actually have a lot of what they need, it comes down to coaching and the right rotations I wouldn’t have lebron and luka on the court until the 4th honestly vando needs more minutes Marcus should give Luka more offball time and when Austin is back I think he should be the meditator between Luka and LeBron and sometimes get his own minutes
I think you could go either Smart & LaRavia or Smart & Vando in the starting lineup. Also I don’t want to see an Luka, Rui & Bron out there anymore. When those three are on the court together they are a net negative.

Vando for Rui and smith jr for reaves
I been saying it's vando at the small forward and smart at the shooting guard is a difference maker plus vando is getting better shooting from deep
I got the NBA package I don’t miss a game and I see laravia out of position a lot so he do play good off the bench but I don’t think he should start
We’ve known this since Halloween. Only JJ doesnt see it or his stubbornness won’t let him change it. Weak. Hope he gets walked out the door alongside Rob Jeannie Bron and Klutch ASAP
Gonna have to try Marcus smart and Vando, I don’t see who else you start if Austin is off for a month unless your going with Gabe and then you might as well pack it in idk how Rui would take Jake being a starter over him but I can see him understanding a Vando in that role, I think that’s y JJ is so stubborn he wants to keep guys confidence up but a change has to come
We can go w Jake or Vando. Vando can be very effective in the dunker spot since Luka and Bron draw so much attention on their drives. The way the rockets use Thompson in the dunker gets him a lot of easy baskets since he cant shoot the ball
Luka + Bron + Ayton that's enough Offense in the Starting Lineup, Start Vando and Laravia for Defense.
Bench: Reaves, Smart, Rui, Hayes, Vincent, DK, Smith

Idk, I think smart and vando aren't shooting that badly from 3. Why do you think their current numbers aren't good enough to make it work? The whole team isnt shooting very well from 3, so their defense is a real differentiation of who should be playing. Smart is also good at driving to the paint and mid range shots
If it's the coach's decision, I think Rui will accept starting on the bench.

We need a trade period
Im a Vando 18-22 mpg guy and Im scared to start him. If by some miracle JJ did, the moment Vando misses 2-3 shots in a row ( which will happen), JJ will DNP again and the world will turn on Vando. Also I think Bron trust Vando more than Luka does so just run him with the 2nd unit.
I like Laravia, though he struggles guarding quick people his overall game is the "safer" choice. Wish he'd be more aggressive though. He does the EXACT same dribble penetration, spin, pick up his dribble and pass out.

Smart and Vando. Luka shoots most (ball hogs a bit too much) in the 1st quarter carrying the offense. That is the best time for Vando to be on the floor.

2nd unit: Reeves, DK, Vando, Kleber
Match up dependent: sub in Hayes for Vando
Vando can play if he’s paired w Kleber but not with Hayes and visa versa, Reeves wants DK to succeed , he’ll give him clean looks & boost his confidence = best balance … also don’t forget Gabe now that Austin is hurt

Ima just say it. LeBron needs to be traded or hit the Bench. He is 40 about to be 41. He is not playing defense anymore. Why get rid of or bench Rui who is our best shooter? We need the spacing in that starting lineup and we are already one of the worst shooting teams from 3 in the league. Lebron Would be a super spark off the bench but we dont need him in the starting lineup. We were honestly better before he came back. Luka and Reeves definitely provide enough offense in that starting lineup. Im not disrespecting the legend but it is what it is. If he was open to being traded I would hop on that and look for the best 3 and d wing offers we could get and be done with it.

Hachimura needs to go to the bench. I thought the Lakers were not great in terms of bench scoring? He would help that and probably get more touches offensively without having to play with Lebron as much. Why haven't they done this yet?

It’s between Rui and Bron to come off the bench. They wont have a player making over 50M coming off the bench. That means Rui will have to move to the bench. Smart taking over Reeves starting spot is pretty much guaranteed. I’ll also go with Laravia for the 5th starting spot. He plays pretty good defense and isn’t a liability on offense. Then stagger Luka and Bron’s minutes to make sure you have a playmaker on the floor.

I'd go with Jake in the starting lineup. A little more reliable on offense. Vando I believe, is better burning energy in more limited minutes off the bench.

I’m pretty sure they tried some of those lineups against the Suns, but they didn’t exactly look great. Do people here seriously think swapping players fixes everything? Real sports aren't a video game.
