  1. Agree 100%. Paying attention to Rudy's play tells the story. His footwork and quick movement are amazing for a big man. I shake my head anytime there's a mention of trading him. Happy Holidays 🌲🌲🌲

  2. Rudy is arguably the greatest defender of all time and is woefully underrated.

Too many former and current nba players get in their feels and don't recognize just how much he alters how another offense functions because he has oven mitts for hands

  3. I think Rudy benefited big time by taking the off-season off. And getting his body and mind right. I'm glad we have him!

  4. The NBA is not ready for Rudy to be the 5x DPOY. Rudy should be the front runner for it but you know damn well the media will only be pushing Chet and Wemby

  5. Rudy was interview in the locker room two days ago and his abs are monstruous, his physique is insane

  6. By far my fav episode, thanks for shining a light on this. So underrated. I think he’s gotten better hands with deflections and steals too.

  7. I've always said without Rudy we aren't where we are as a team he is a a key piece besides ant that allows us to get defense 1st as a mantra because we can. Now it's about learning to be an elite scoring team. As long as Gobert stays good we will have Jaden and ant to combine for a shutdown type defensive team and we can keep the standard high in Minnesota. Ie: to play here you gotta play defense and we started that mentality when we got Rudy.🎉🎉🎉

  8. As for those who think he's not a good isolation defender away from the basket, during the 2024 playoffs, when he defended in isolation on the perimeter, his direct opponents (KD/Bookker/Beal/Murray/Kyrie/Luka) shot 25% from the field (7/28). In 2025 (LBJ/Luka/Reeves/Butler/SGA), he shot 31% (6/19)… that's not just average, it's excellent, and even more so for a big man against perimeter players. Rudy's physique is so underrated. His cardio and lifestyle (he's almost never injured) are incredible, especially for a player of his size.
Rudy has been a top-10 Defensive Player of the Year nine times. I don't know if many people realize how huge that is.

  9. Rudy has to be the favorite for another DPOY, and getting a 5th (which would be the most ever) HAS to make him a HOF lock. Shaq may need to be put on suicide watch if that happens.

  10. Rudy Gobert is like playing 2K with your little kid brother who finds really funny to just stand under the rim and press the block button over and over again, but doesn't actually know how to play the game.

  11. GIVE THIS MAN HIS FLOWERS !!
    i appreciate Gobert.
i see it in the game.
guys whom drive the lane regularly avoid him completely.

  12. More of Gobert More of Gobert More of Gobert More of Gobert More of Gobert More of Gobert More of GobertMore of Gobert

  13. Agree! Plus, he’s very important in offense with his screens, his rolls and offensive rebounds. Love Rudy!

  14. He scored 9 points last night Joker had 18 points in overtime. In the playoffs he is hunted by the opposite team. Rudy is liability in the playoffs
