There’s no way you convince Lamar to change his way unless you get a coach who has won it. Lamar and his contract and even Flacco’s contract have thrown off Harboughs way of winning and effected the roster due to cap space.

To be clear, Preston has always been a hater. But Harbaugh has to go. They haven’t won anything since Ray Lewis retired. Lamar hasn’t always been perfect but no one is. The record would be a lot worse without Lamar.

Remember Colin Kaepernick was an early second round selection, and for those two seasons, IN THAT SYSTEM, he thrived.(Harbaugh bros run the same offense). John Harbaugh/Ravens have been very loyal to Lamar Jackson. They could have humiliated him while he negotiated his own contract without an agent; they allowed him to save face. *
*If Lamar Jackson was comfortable in his own skin, he might already have a Super Bowl. Instead, he wants to prove that he is a top tier passer of football. Without opposing defense having to sell out to stop run, he isn't. I don't care what his padded stats say.*

When Ravens struggled in 2021, finishing with an 8-9 record, how good was defense? 19th best in NFL. 2022 thru 2024, Ravens defense was at or near the top of league. This season (2025), they are 16th best in NFL. *
** So there is a big enough sample size to see a correlation between defense's success and Lamar Jackson's success. Joe Burrow would have been thrilled to have the 16th best defense in NFL, they'd probably be in contention for #1 seed. **
This is the classic tactic of a team destroying a player character. To low ball him when the contract talks starts. Lamar's play has covered up the bad coaching, play calling (not running the ball with Henry) and upper management lack of drafting and free agent signing. Bad defense, no top tier receiver!
I honestly hope Lamar leaves the Ravens in 2026 if Con Garbaugh doesn't get fired. The Ravens have failed #8 by keeping such a trash HC for all these years.
The Seahawks don't have the better QB, the better RB, the better OC, or the better overall roster compared to the Ravens. But, yet they have one of the better offenses, defenses, and overall record. What's the difference maker? They gave Seattle the coach they SHOULD'VE kept.

The article could’ve been written about all of those QBs all have injuries which could point to workout habits all of them struggled this year.
Mike Preston is about as dependable as the Ravens offensive line😂. Watching them play shows Jackson hardly has time to think let alone check off to find an open receiver.

I might be in the minority on this but the hall of fame talk for Lamar and Allen is premature for me. To me right now there are only two qbs that are active that are for sure HOF players at qb mahomes and Rodgers. Yes they both have mvps but so do cam and Matt Ryan. Neither probably get in and they both have great career numbers. There are a lot of very good players but it’s not the hall of very good…. And I’m just saying right now. They both have 5-10 years hopefully of greatness left. To me you could say there on the path but locks right now is premature to me

Harbaugh would have a better chance at another coaching job then Lamar getting a huge contract from any other team than the Ravens. His value has been dropping and I don't think the market would respond well to his trade costs. I wonder if the dude has ever been laid. lol. He seems to be a mama's boy, and men don't really respect that type of dude at his age.
The Ravens are watching 3 second year quarterbacks fighting for the number 1 seed on rookie deals that haven’t missed a game yet and thinking why are we paying a guy that is injured every year and has only thrown over 3,000 yards in a season 3 times. Running quarterbacks don’t win super bowls and they don’t play 17 game seasons.

During the last contract negotiation reports got leaked about Lamar. We have not forgotten. Lets be clear – Hamstring, knee, ankle, toe are kinetic chain injuries, that happens when you rush back from the original injury. Lamar should have sat out until he was fully healed. Most of this reporting is jaded.

There is definitely some issues with Lamar and Harbaugh. Yes, the knives are out!! The coaching sucks!! The defense is horrible, the play calling is horrible!! Henry is pulled out of games, or not in the game. This is a coaching PROBLEM….PERIOD!! We need to call it for what it is!!!!!!
