How Cam Johnson’s Injury Affects The Direction Of The Nuggets Season

Cam Johnson’s injury has instantly shifted the Denver Nuggets’ season outlook, with the team labeling it a knee bone bruise and projecting 4–6 weeks before he’s reevaluated—potentially pushing his return toward the All-Star break. In this video, we break down how Denver adjusts without Johnson, what it means for the Nuggets’ playoff push, and why keeping chemistry with Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray becomes even more critical. We also spotlight the “next man up” candidates—especially Julian Strawther—plus the added responsibility for Peyton Watson and Bruce Brown as the rotation tightens. If you want the latest Nuggets injury update and what it changes for the rest of the NBA season, this is the full breakdown.

  1. They need to remove defensive 3 seconds and maybe allow hand checking, so the game slows down and joints take less toll. I don't recall players getting hurt that often in the 90's and they played 82 games as well.

  2. I do not like Strawther at all for me he is very bad in everything else than shooting, and even he is not shooting star for career or this season his numbers are awful, I even remember some games when he was shooting OK, but his +/- was terrible.

  3. The curse of the MPJ trade (injuries)😂 particularly for all of the stupid front office basketball illiterate nuggets fan base who continue to insist the Nuggets couldn't have added BIG Val, Bruce, & THJ without trading MP… Nuggs definitely lost me (a 30yr Nuggets fan) for this season after that stupid trade of Giving away MP PLUS 2032 1ST RD PK.. MP was my 2nd favorite Nugget behind Jokic

  4. Trade Cam Johnson(Injury Prone), BIG Val (who would prefer playing overseas), Zeke, Strawther, Hunter… to create a $44.5M TPE Denver NEEDS to use in order to re-aquire MPJ this offseason once he becomes eligible to be re-aquired by the Nuggets… Denver needs to find a way to put the 2022-23 Championship roster back together this offseason. Maybe KCP gets bought out and Denver could get him back for cheap (similar to Bruce this past offseason)….(Jamal/KCP/MPJ/AG/Jok…Bruce/CB/PWat/Jeff/DJ… Keep Picket/THJ/Holmes and add 2 new rookies and/or vets)

  5. Actually, I think it makes Coach Adelman's decision a LOT easier when AG and CB come back. He was going to have to make a really hard call between having Cam sit and letting PWat play or vice versa. This way they go into January already knowing the rotation without any drama. Gotta look for silver linings.

  6. Big Val has been a major improvement to this team this year… Strawther and Zeke have been terrible

  7. As long they all get healthy for play off games, who cares about these mid season games. Would be nice to stack wins but its not gonna happen at this point. Surviving its better option now.

  8. Ok here me out – these injuries are great in that they give the rest of the team good reps before the playoffs. Ideal scenario, AG, CB, and Cam all come back super healthy right before the end of the regular season and they have the best chance of making a real push for the title.

  9. Nuggets injuries seem like they all too long based on injury but this the era of precaution. Braun has the longest injury I ever seen

  10. Joker (+ Murray this season) are the reason you guys have audience so pls be quiet and never ever critize the Goat of the Nuggets I like you but that is just pure bs!
